Aye, the tournament is wide open now after a couple of early exits. Higgins is best price 4/1. I fancy Ding's chances now, he's the one I'd like to see win it anyway. Think Wilson is a decent outside(ish) bet at 10/1 as well, been playing really good stuff. I can see why Ding is favourite, but I just think Higgins has the mettle. 8/1 when Ronnie was already well behind Carter was an excellent price, really should have lumped on. I thought it might finally be Trump’s year before it began but he was awful first round. He’s like Spurs but way worse. Always seems to bottle the Worlds.

I'd have taken 8/1 on Higgins at the start of the tournament, nevermind during the 2nd round with multiple big names already or on their way out. On a side note, one of the things I love about snooker is the longevity of the players, which means you get to see old favourites year after year. Williams and Higgins seem like they've been around forever! In fact, the last time Williams won the worlds was over half of my lifetime ago!

Williams trying to escape from a snooker one handed why the frame is still up for grabs. What the fuck?

This Trump/Higgins match has been real high quality so far. Best Trump has played in the tournament so far.

Ding has played some atrocious snooker in this quarter-final with Hawkins. Hawkins has been very good but Ding just doesn't look up for it and hasn't since the start.

This Trump/Higgins quarter is one of the best Crucible quarter finals I've ever seen. Only right it goes down to the 25th frame.
Hoping Higgins wins it and keeps alive the possibility of a Higgins/Williams final.

Few frames before the Brighton game. Cracking shot from Higgins with his first red of the session.
Managed to wangle today off so I've literally spent 80% of it watching snooker with my phone on the other side of the room and it's been absolute bliss

Absolute bruiser of a semi-final between Williams and Hawkins. Really enthralling stuff.
Delighted to see Williams win.
A Higgins/Williams final is a dream really. Feels like I've gone back 20 years!

Love the Higgins - Williams final. Want John to nab another one but it doesn't really matter who wins it to me now. Like both.

I love it, adding in the fact O'Sullivan is having a great season and probably still the best player in the world, for the selfish reason that it makes me feel like I'm not old! Those three were winning tournaments when I was a teenager, so to be still doing it, well, I can't be that old yet can I?

Aye it's a win/win final for me too. I just want it to be an absolute classic. 18-17, shit load of centuries and a shit load of excellent tactical frames.
