Aye i cant see Fergie allowing that to happen to Fletch - but you know what the yanks are like - anything to make money. Plus they have no loyalty to any of the players.
Besides, it would just be good to have him back in general. Hope he does recover enough to come back. Great to see the club putting him to use though by giving him coaching duties.

Yes, nice touch from management.
Are we expecting a return?I have heard conflicting evidence from sufferers of the problem, so I guess its down to the individual, though non of those were professional athletes, it could be that Fletch is fitter therefore stronger and able to cope or that the demands of pro sport may be too much.Fingers crossed anyway.

This seems more and more likely. But to be honest I would be little disappointed if Gaitan was our main signing this summer.

I've got to agree here, he's not exactly a name that set's the world alight and if one were to be discussing some of the most creative players in the world (which, to be honest is what we need) I'm not sure Gaitan, at 24, would exactly fit into that topic at all?
I really hope we have someone else up our sleeve too in terms of central additions.
As it stands a Cissokho & Gaitan summer would by no means be a bad one, I still feel there's more to come hopefully.

Cassiano Pereira, Fabio's agent, told Portuguese sport newspaper O Jogo: 'There is a high possibility that Fabio will go to Benfica. Alex Ferguson has talked with me and Fabio about this possibility and in the next two to three weeks we should know our position.'
Either this is on the cards or it's just a bizarre series of coincidences.

i'm not really excited about Gaitan but i won't be surprised. Ferguson doesn't buy A-listers lads. he generally buys players he thinks will become top players rather than already are top players.
i hope if this does come about Fergies not going soft on the sort of characters he's letting in and that gaitans an alright lad.

Lets hope so, its up to the scouting team to get this right for us, must admit I haven't seen much of him, his reputation preceeds him a little bit so if we do sign him it'll be interesting to see how he gets on!

yeah agree jim, we tend to buy those that have potential to be world beaters rather than ready made world beaters. although he is able on the wing surely gaitan's long-term position is center as attacking mid. he has clever use if the ball, a trick or 2 good passing.

James Ducker says no! The fella off the Telegraph says yes! I will believe it when they're sat beside Fergie and Gill.

Drop Rooney into midfield, tell him to wise up and get back to his youthful, natural, bullish game, and buy Higuain. No need to worry about Gaitan's attitiude then.

Was he not playing on the wing for Benfica?
I don't think we need another winger but maybe he was played out of position at Benfica?
Can anyone clear it up?
