Injuries occur. It don't mean we should be another winger. Other areas, need addressing. CM, and decent backup for Evra.

So because of the possibility of Young, Valencia, Park and Nani getting injured, we should buy Gaitan, but we don't need to buy a left back because we have FAbio, who has proven quite injury prone in the early part of his career? Ctrl Ald De Laet, He is still our player isn't he, now seriously, I don't follow much football outside of EPL, I don't know any decent LB's, I did watch Marcelo (from Real Madrid) a couple of times, and he seems decent enough, but defense wise, he isn't nearly as good as Evra. |

I don't see De Laet getting much of a chance at United. Outside of Evra and Cole, Baines is the next best LB in the premiership. We've already got Rio and Vidic's replacements in. I think Fergie will be looking for Evra's long term replacement.

Baines is nearly 27, and would cost too much I think. I'd rather try to find a lesser known left back from abroad. It's weird though, I really can't think of many good established or up and coming left backs in world football.
