We're linked with Valencia's Alba, who played at left back for Spain against Scotland the other week.

I'm not sure I undertsand this logic but I like it, out of the box like. I sorta wish that Barcelona is playing with 11 O'Sheas.

Yet so many wanted o'pie sold.....explain that then? I can only speak for myself. Wasn't one of them. Always thought O'Shea was very solid defensively even if his passing left a lot to be desired. Was the perfect cover for any position along the back 4. His versatility was an important factor in many of our league and cup triumphs. Had he spent his career at Arsenal he would have been a club legend. Anyway, from what I remember, a lot of fans were disappointed to see him leave. I would dig up the archives but can't be arsed.

Only read the independent article, but there is not evidence given of our interest in Gaitain. They have just assumed we're interested because a) we need a midfielder and b) we've bought a couple of players in the past after they've played well against us.

I think he'd be a good buy but for no where near £40m, around the £15m would be reasonable.

Seeing as they only paid 8.6m for him I think thats one hell of a bump in price!

Was he that good, against us? The Brazillian at the back impressed me more. 40 million as well? Fuck that. We need a combative midfielder lads. Big Tiote ticks all the boxes for me. If we offer 20 million for him, Ashley will snap our hands off.
