I know she's not completely innocent, but it's weird that after all the shit she's been put through by walt, it's her I'd rather they killed off. And yeah, that silent lemon face was bugging me too.
And Jim, I know that the show is good with the slow build - I love that about the show. I'm just concerned that, what with us being halfway through the season, we may only get that slow build in these 8 episodes. With the payoff in the last 8. Nothing wrong with that once I have the DVDs, but having to wait so long would be rather frustrating.

Everyone except my mate. Just got him into Breaking Bad and he absolutely hates Walt. He thinks he's a cunt and wants him to die.
He's on Season 2! Wait until Walt really starts being a cunt.

hahah how the fuck can you hate Walt? I thought Jesse was a cunt up until he got more responsible at the end of season 4 and stopped saying yo at the end of everything. I saw him as a yank chav.

I've really enjoyed the new, darker vibe to the series so far, I just finished watching episode 4.
Walt has his flaws; he's too proud, expects other people to do the dirty work for him and thinks nothing of it (getting Jesse to kill Gale), power goes to his head easily and he's in a bit of a bubble but, whilst annoying me at times, I still enjoy the character and want him to succeed.
Skyler however, obviously the character has deep love for her children and its admirable how much she wants to protect them but I'm so sick of how fickle, whiny, vindictive and spiteful she is. She knowingly got into cahoots with Walt when she started laundering her money, she was enjoying it then, enjoying the power trip of buying out the car wash from Bogdan and getting Ted roughed up. It backfired though and now she's back to constantly berating Walt for putting it all on them. She enjoys it when it's going well but as soon as she sees the bad side of Walt's lifestyle she throws her toys out of the pram and we get episode after episode of her being infuriatingly passive aggressive, self-absorbed and childish. Just such an unlikeable character.
I think overall my favourite characters are Jesse, Mike and Hank. I used to really dislike Jesse but I like how they have turned his character around and he's finally responsible, mature and genuinely likeable. Although I can't help but feel one bad thing and he'll go spiralling.

That was shocking. It seemed like quite a fun episode, with slightly tense undertones, but that ending put paid to that.

yeah clever episode that. you can see the start of a rift between heisenberg and pinkman who will be doing his nut at that dude todd while mr. white agrees it was the right thing to have done. mike had been keeping his distance as lookout so we are spared watching his hard ass character have to look glum in order to preserve what i reckon ultimately will be mike being a good guy when alls said and done.

That said, I think Walter is going to kill Mike at some stage in this series - just a hunch.

SAY MY NAME ~ - you're heisenberg.. - YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT! Ha! That bit was awesome! Just watched episode 7 though, WOW. Walt is being such an asshole to Jesse too, the way Walt is going I reckon the second half of the season is going to lead up to it all exploding in his face and Walt either dying or going to jail... more likely dying. What is really shit is that after episode 8 we have to wait an entire year for the second half. I can't believe it, it's absolutely ridiculous.

when you say an entire year does that mean summer 2013?
that would make sense from a time scale perspective. the scene at the start of s5 e1 where heisenberg was alone on his 52nd birthday would kick off the start of the 2nd half of the season.
i don't mind waiting, it means breaking bad isn't finished for a while yet.

Yeah, summer 2013.
True I suppose it makes sense, it's just dead frustrating!
