He's 29, but that's besides the point. The more I think about it he really would be such a perfect acquisition - a glance at his personal records speaks for itself whilst in a situation where he'd be getting constant game-time he'd be back to his old self in no time. Physically too he'd be perfect for the PL.
Also, he's at the age SAF has recently like to buy players, would add a vast amount of experience and, well, It's Kaka people! Anything under 28/30 mil for a player of his caliber, who will effectively end his career here, would be a bargain.

cripes. i thought he was same age as me, turning 29 this year.
redcase is probably right then, you would be looking to replace him in 3 years.
that's fine with me, 3 years out of him would be great

as far as the price goes i have absolutely no idea.
you could defo see madrid being unrealistic about a player who they should be glad to recieve 18-20 mil for. forgetting how much they paid for him, he's about to turn 30 and he's had injury problems and he's not a regular starter.

I'd say 18-20 is a realistic figure jim. Great, so who do we get in touch with now?

Yeah he is turning 30 this year that's why I'm not so keen to bring him in Jim. Not for 30 mil. 15-20, then probably you could try and coax 2 years out of him and then see. You cannot discount the "Brazil gene" , my personal nomenclature for the phenomenon of Brazilian star footballers fading away after 30. We do not know if he will succumb to it, but his injuries and loss of form suggest it is a possibility.

His loss of form was due to the Madrid disease and wasn't playing. Partly because of injury and partly because they just didn't fancy him for some reason.
Like I said somewhere earlier on, reports are saying he's negiotiated his way out of the contract at the end of the summer. Whether that means he can go for free (which I doubt) or for a vastly reduced fee (my favourite guess) he shouldn't cost the earth. If we got in early with serious interest I'm convinced he would jump at the oppurtunity to sign for us. As people have said, it's Kaka. If we could sign him at his peak at all, we should seriously look at it!

But then Kaka hasn't established himself as a modern day legend at United, or been rated as the world's greatest footballer ever (TM).
C'mon rumor-mill, churn us out something nice (and realistic) for once!

I wouldn't want us spending more than £10m on him - I think Real may be willing to let him go on the cheap.

If he has negotiated his way out of his contract with Madrid then he will be available on a free as generally it means he has paid Madrid himself to get out of his contract, rather than the club doing so (via a transfer fee)
He would get a good share (if not a, depending on how much it cost him) back in the form of a very generous signing on fee from whatever club signs him, as they wouldnt have to fork out a transfer fee for him

Has there been any links or suggestion that he might come to us? Or that he's willing to leave Madrid?

Talk in Spain says he has already sorted a way out of his contract at Madrid to leave this summer.

He's lost that yard of pace and acceleration that made him fucking demonic years ago. I read something saying he always saw himself coming over here, but only after he'd dominated in Spain first. That's not happened, so whether or not he fancies such a big new challenge at this stage is anyone's guess. He's also had a lot of niggling injuries. On the cheap, I'd grab him. But not for above £10m and on mental wages.
