i've talked about it before, bestie mentioned it in another thread.
i haven't been following what madrid are doing, i haven't seen kaka play for at least a year, i don't know if he's injured, i duno if his heads been mind-fucked or what. i know enough however to know it's not happening for him in madrid.
+ he was worshippped in milan and it was his stage. if he felt the love again maybe a stage like old trafford would bring the best back out in him.
+he turned down the bitters millions because he wants to play at top, prestigious clubs - he's a player of integrity.
- Ferguson once described him as a player who 'didn't excite him' like a messi or a ronaldo.
Overall I just have a gut feeling he'd have the Larsson effect - we sign a player said to be past it and they come in and do a cracking job for us.

I don't know if i'd like to see him come in, his career has gone so far downhill at Madrid I think it's gone beyond redemption.
Would we be happy seeing a 'has been' getting a shot ahead of Morrison and Clevers?

Kaka isn't so much a has-been as a stymied-by-circumstance. He had a really tough start with Madrid and a couple of iunjuries. He still looks a hell of a player though, when he plays.
I'd play him with Morrison or Clevers, not instead of!

Always been fond of him. Except for when we had the not so pleasurable experience of playing against him in his prime in 2007!

for 15-20 million then yeah, not a penny more sensible figures i'd say. the 50mil that the daily star think madrid expect to get for him is a joke.

One of the classiest players to ever strike a ball.

I fell truly, madly and deeply in love with the aura of Kaka when he decimated us in 2007. Probably one of my favourite ever United matches at OT, and my favourite goal when Rooney scored late.
Kaka was class that night, it was a joy even though he tore us apart, and we matched them. Special player, would be all giddy and butterflies in the stomach job if we bought him.

Not for me. Turns 30 soon, hasn't played well for over 2 years (I know, due to injury, but that makes it even worse, who knows if he can ever get back to what he was), would demand a huge amount of money a week, at least as much as Sneijder wanted, never played in England so don't know if he could adapt, everything points to a poor signing. We could go for someone 8 or 9 years younger, playing great stuff at the moment, and the overall package would probably be cheaper.

as above, we want to go forwards not backwards, 15-20m is a lot to spend on a 30 yr old that might not suit the english game. Agreed he is and was a fantastic player and part of me would welcome him but its a big risk. Id much rather go for players like gotze, hazard, schniedjer. Players that are younger and at the moment have more going for them. For one this is my opinion so im sure not every1 will agree.

yeah im with dazjoe and paul on this. great player, no doubting that. but if we do bring him in, then its more of a temporary solution to our midfield. personally i would perfer if we used morrison, at least that way, he is gaining experience and will only get better with age.

^^ As above, I think he is too much of a risk at huge cost but a loan to buy deal could be a great piece of business.

£15mill for Kaka?
Try about £12mill.
I'd snap Real's hands off if they offered him on loan for a year though.
