We have already got Kagawa in Kaka's position.

Lads, other than Scholes, Kaka probably has a better first touch and control than pretty much anyone in our midfield. He made 27 appearances for Real last season and they won La Liga - jeepers, I don't think Ando would make the bench there.
His vision, passing range, experience etc would be invaluable.
He's still class, think I've brought him up a few times and I distinctly remember a few people agreeing with me - he's still got much to offer.

He's not the same player that ripped us to shreds, but that doesn't make him crap. There's no reason he couldn't pull a Scholes and start further back beside Carrick, which would increase our pace as he's got more legs than Scholes and/or Giggs.

Exactly, and imagine the lift he'd give the squad, not to mention the mentor he'd be able to be for the youngsters; Powell, Petrucci, Tunnicliffe etc.
He's not always starting at Real so would be used to a squad rotational system, plus he seems a genuinely good lad.
Would welcome Kaka here, I think he'd have a galvanizing effect on our entire squad.

Not many clubs have gone in for him which tells you a lot. Also if his club were willing to let him go you'd have to wonder what the real reason was.
He's not the same Kaka at all.
Don't think we'll be in for him.

KAKA is still a good player and whether he is on loan or is bought would still do good for our Midfield. Besides he could slot into the Scholes position with ease and cement it. Remember Scholes will not be there next season. That and the fact that this transfer season could put the shit in our opponents pants makes it all the better. I said that between not signing any Mids and Signing Kaka, i'd Take Kaka any day and still stand by it. He is class.

I don't think anyones suggesting Kaka isn't a decent player but he's nowhere near the player of previous years.

he would not do well in the scholes position he plays further up. kaka has never sat that deep. in 4231 he would do well right of the 3 not a an out and out winger but he would be effective there or centrally. deeper no, scholes cant tackle but he has positional sense and puts himself about.

Surely he'd play in the same position as Kagawa?

I don't think anyones suggesting Kaka isn't a decent player but he's nowhere near the player of previous years. No-one said he was though, he's still got a lot to offer that's what I'm saying. Kaka on loan, yes please! Also, in total these are his stats for the last 5 seasons: 2011/12; 40 Appearances: 8 Goals ; 16 Assists 2010/11; 20 Appearances: 7 Goals ; 6 Assists 2009/10; 48 Appearances: 12 Goals ; 16 Assists 2008/09; 48 Appearances; 21 Goals ; 20 Assists 2007/08; 42 Appearances; 20 Goals ; 13 Assists It's pretty clear that even with his apparent injury record he's still capable of playing a good number of games, in fact, and average of 39.6 Appearances per season. Given our rotational strategy he'd not be expected to get that number anyway. As for playing deeper, I think he'd be able to no problem, he'd likely give us more of a surging presence from deeper positions too. Check out those assists - welcome addition for me.

yup, more or less. kagawa can go center or left and kaka right or center. none should be played where scholes plays as it will give the person next to them a nightmare job, these guys are best further up the pitch

With he age and lack of pace, i 'd say that it'd be better if he sat deep and distributed the ball with passing and control play ,rather than in Kagawa's position also he could slot into the right if the need be.

Guillem Balague reckons that there's absolutely nothing in this - It could be just stirring - I first heard about this via SKYBET - Maybe they have a hidden agenda?

If Kaka were to arrive how much of Cleverley or Anderson would we see?Would Scholes be happy playing a bit part role?Would Kaka?Isnt that the reason he wants out of RM?The wages he is on would almost guarantee first team Football, could we afford to pay £250k a week to a squad rotation player?Really cant see this happening and I dont think we should, it doesnt make any sense at all.

People can't be suggesting we play Kaka deeper, unbelievable, at Milan it was well known they had to start with 4 Deeper center midfielders in Seedorf, Ambrossini, Gattuso and Pirlo to accommodate him and get the best out of him.
It's like when people suggest Berbatov could play Center mid despite the fact he refuses to run, it takes a lot more than nice passing and a great first touch to play deep, he'll need to tackle (can't do) and he'll need to play in the complete opposite half of the park than what he's used to.
Anyway we have Rooney and Kagawa in his position, if he comes then fine depth is nice, but there's no way he's not playing off the striker.
