Pay him the going rate for a world class goalkeeper. If his marketability means we can pay him more then great, but who out there is coming calling for De Gea right now? He had great leverage this time last year. In fact I am surprised we didn't get buggered by his agent then. However football is fickle; he had a bad world cup, the Spanish media turned on him and Real signed Courtois. PSG are loaded at Keeper, Barca are sorted there, Bayern too. Which team is left? Juve?
It will be interesting to see how much we end up paying him. For what it is worth he should be our highest paid player considering he is our top performer, but that's not how football works, sadly.

If we let him run his contract down and leave on a free, every fucking team in the world will have him for nowt, and he'll dislodge whoever they have as their keeper.

'Who would take the best goalkeeper in the world for either a reduced or no fee?' Really?

Doesn't matter which team has which goalkeeper. Dave will replace any of them so we shouldn't be naive into thinking nobody will go for him.
PSG loaded at keeper? They have Buffon who isn't going to be there long. Dave is out of contract next summer. Beleive me if Dave is available they will be putting their names i to the mix. This shouldn't even be an issue for us and there should be no stalling of any kind.
Dave is on 180k a week which is peanuts to what Pogba and Sanchez are on, both of which overall have been poor for us, whereas Dave has saved our arses more times than I care to remember. I don't blame him for wanting more. He's the only world class player we have at the club and he deserves to be shown that in the form of a contract worthy of what he's brought to the table...as I've said whatever he wants give it to him.
He's earned that much.

I would imagine everyone and their granny would look for him on a free transfer, however he still has 2 years left on his current deal. (1 year and an option for a further year) My point is no one is trying to buy him right now. His main suitors just bought Courtois. As I said he deserves to be the highest paid player, but the club will probably believe otherwise.

Give him the PHC money and throw in the difference of Post Fergie #4 and the clown in there now. That should put him on £350k per week. Seems about right for the most important player performing at the highest level.

If De Gea was ever available on a free by the incompetence of our board, the likes of Juve, PSG, Milan and Inter would surely come calling. I'm sure Perez wouldn't hesitate dumping Courtois if this absolutely inconceivable, idiotic scenario was ever to take place. Fuck off Ed and pay the man.

The way I see it, if he's been willing to stick around in the face of 4-5 years of Real Madrid pressure, he's not going to bugger off to PSG at this point.
Give him the money, he deserves every penny and should be the highest paid goalkeeper in the World.
Ed's going to have to bite the bullet here, De Gea is our best and most consistent player (yes, painful to say).

If we ever let Dave go because of breakdown talks with a contract not paying him enough when the likes of Pogba and Sanchez are on the wages they are then I'm done.

It's only fair to pay him the money we've got from the CL in the last couple of seasons. We'd have finished midtable if it wasn't for him

Agree with the sentiment of giving him a raise as he has been easily our best and crucial player in the past few seasons. Had too many saves to make. I hope that long continues into this season.

Sell/release Sanchez and give Dave his wage*
*I’m fully aware this isn’t possible.

A good job he had a poor World Cup or I think he would be gone already!

Controversial opinion;
I don't think DDG has been upto his usual standard this season. He was poor in the world cup and Its followed him.
