From The Telegraph: "United’s victory over Spurs still owed much to the brilliance of David De Gea and underlined the importance of tying the Spain goalkeeper to a new long-term deal. The Spain goalkeeper is out of contract at the end of next season and is understood to want an increase of around £135,000 a week on his existing £240,000-a-week wages to stay. “We want him to stay,” Lingard said. “Some of his saves, you’re like, ‘Oh my god’.”"
From redpilgrim: Give him the £375,000, you bunch of daft cunts

if we don't tie DDG down, were going backwards. We've already been going backwards for a while mate. Not tying de Gea down equals shooting yourself in the face with a shotgun.

David de Gea will sign a new contract at Manchester United if he receives an offer that matches his demands, according to reports.
The Spaniard has proven himself to be one of the best goalkeepers in world football over several seasons despite United’s recent struggles in the Premier League.
And the Daily Mail claims that De Gea wants his new wage packet to reflect that with a significant improvement on his current £200,000-a-week.
The man of the match for United in their 1-0 victory over Tottenham ‘would expect’ at least £300,000-a-week plus bonuses.
The Red Devils only recently triggered his a one-year extension in his contract that will take him through until the summer of 2020 at Old Trafford.
The report adds that De Gea is ‘keen to thrash out fresh terms’ with United, who have been in talks with the 28-year-old without resolution for some time.
“We want him to stay,” Jesse Lingard said after their latest win under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. “He’s one of the best keepers in the world, if not the best.”

Same made up story, different figures.
