Odd that the club have spent the entire season telling everyone the were 'relaxed' about his contract situation and now it's approaching defcon 5.

Even if he signs he will likely be off in the summer or next year, but at least we'd get a fee. If he leaves on a free he'll deserve all the flack he gets. Agreed but he's not left yet. |

You know what guys, I'm starting to get annoyed by all this and we should tell him to accept by a set date or fuck off. Anyone else and we'd be rightly going mental at them fucking us about. We've got another huge summer of big names coming and if he'd prefer white hankies at Madrid and the media crucifixion he'll face at that shit hole when he makes the odd mistake then let him go and I can't wait to see if the fans stand by him the way we did.

DDG should be as decisive in his contract talks as much as he is at he goal.
The real problem for him is that Casillas is going to hang jis boots soon and if Real sign a young keeper, DDG wont get a sniff for the next 10 years. Very difficult decision for him. If he wants to leave, the best he could do is sign a deal with us before leaving.
My gut feeling still says he will be with us atleast till end of next season.

This isn't Ronaldo wanting to fulfil the childhood dream with us at the very top, this is an Atleti guy going to Real Madrid while we're at the bottom of a mountain looking upwards.

Great player, served his time well for us, stuck by us through Moyes to LVG. If he wants to go no point in being disappointed.  |

I'm going to hold fire till he officially leaves but long term he won't be here anyway. Bitterly disappointed. We don't need the money and let him go in the summer.
Upto me, I'd move Valdes on too and get both Cech and Leno. Groom the latter to take over in 3-4 yrs time. Seeing the work Hoek has done with DDG, I have utmost confidence he can repeat it with Bernd aswell..

Was thinking on the similar lines and it just felt that the CLub wants the spotlight turned away and unto DDG. so If leaves it would look like it did all it could. This doesn't look good and tbh i am afraid he is off, this summer or next. I'd Be surprised if he stayed longer with us. Time to see if we can get Cech or Lloris. |

If I was De Gea I'd at least be giving van Gaal a chance to see what he can come up with during this transfer window. It must be mentally and physically draining playing behind such an inconsistent, shaky defence every game but I'm pretty sure Louis is aware of that. I'm also fucking sick to death of Real Madrid getting in the heads of every top form player each summer and having free reign to buy whomever they want without any financial constraints.
Even if Real don't get him this summer I'm sure they'll relentlessly pursue him until they sign him, it's how that bunch of smug cunts work. We might get to keep him for another season or two but I'm not optimistic it would be any longer than that.
