Transfer ban is total - free players aren't excluded.
At the same time though, it's not a transfer ban as such, its a ban on registering players, so they could in theory sign a player and loan him straight out.

Semantics really. Easier to call it a transfer ban and save further questions. Innit?

At this point the right thing he can do for us is sign a new contract then see how much Real Madrid really value him. Either they offer what we feel he is worth or they don't.

I think if we are being realistic if he wants to go he will wont sign a new deal, that puts him, his agent and real in a difficult position he is a goalkeeper a world class one but there are other options this is not really a to also scenario, there was only one ronaldo and the only other player of similar quality was messi which was a deal that would not happen. If Dave signs then he stays if he doesn't he is off

Madrid won't wait for 12 months and put up with Casillas. In relative terms we are in decent knick in this situation. Their proposed ban, Casillas falling apart etc, all helps us.

That there will be a bidding war and they will get more than he's worth? thank fuck for that. well Mostly the part where the agent is mouthing off to the media and the player backing him...read quotes from his agent saying that he won't sign for £900 000 a week..can't imagine this forum if that was the situation with DDG

Sometimes it's better to just say nothing...or is it? That's pissing me off too.
The agent was on SSN saying he never said anything to the Evening Standard, and threatening legal action
