I normally wish all our players the best when they depart, aside from the odd example (Tevez for instance).
De Gea is one of those odd example's.
Don't want him to get injured or anything, I'm not that bitter. But it'd be so satisfying to see him drop clangers, get the crowd straight on his case booing him, and end up out the team, out the Spanish squad and disappearing. Don't care if it sounds like I'm harbouring a grudge, because I am.
Fuck him. As previously said, would it have killed him to sign a new deal, knowing we'll let him leave in a season or two for a huge fee? Na, he'll get his move now on the cheap, or leave next year for nothing. Grade A bell end.

Just on De Gea, I have to wholeheartedly agree with what Stewart has posted there. The reason it's getting the reaction that it is, is because it's true. 100%.
We're not stupid, De Gea's silence has been deafening, in other words he's quite obviously off to that vile club, Real Madrid.
Stewart is correct, the manner De Gea has gone about this is downright disgraceful. 'Footballer of the Year' doesn't come into it when you're obviously a wimp who can't man up and stay at United because your girlfriend calls the transfer shots. What makes this all the more galling, is as Stewart says, the fact he was at fucking A.Madrid previously, bitter enemies. We stood by him when he was dropping crosses for fun, built him up etc.
When the disgusting Real Madrid fans get bored of De Gea next year for a new toy, he won't be getting any sympathy from me when he gets blasted by them for throwing one in against Barca. Good fucking riddance! Rant over!!

WoW What a read i go watch some SSN and the James Bond on ITV2 come on here and its like reading World War 3 about DDG Draw the line... he will go and its a shame that DDG is being ill advised he is tarnishing his small legacy. I have had him on my sig all year and i have been a massive fan and got behind the day he walked in. He has/had the potential of being an ALL TIME great for us but this poison in Spain has sunk in and i will never put him in the same bracket as Big Pete and VDS Its not even July and i'm sick to death of DDG, Bale being mentioned almost daily! Bale to me is going to be the new [Player shall not be named] along side the SNEIXXXX which for reference... we did get linked 2 yesterday! you can tell what time of year it is talksport.com/football/galatasaray-move-tie-down-wesley-sneijder-amid-manchester-united-transfer-link-150601148994

Good fucking riddance! Rant over!! Might also remember that his World Class form is not "old hat" Big thing was recognizing he couldn't take the ball from distance and getting his eyes fixed, and he had some first class coaching that got him to where he is now.; All that aside, United still has a cat quick, very seasoned and most certainly worthy of being called world class keeper in VV, if they can muck about and use Shaggy to make a deal for Varane and Bale in one swoop, then do it. Otherwise, as BS as his actions have been, let him go. An besi9des, when I think on his time at United, I've always thought him to be a bit "stuffy" and I never got the feel he really embraced the club, he's always felt a bit mercenary, don't ever remember thinking he would be around for a long time like do with Mata or Ander.

Even if DDG goes we shouldn't care too much ... Honestly, if we can cope with a rookie younger DDG starting to ply his trade in a completely different culture and much harder n more physical league when he struggled for a season or two, I am sure we should be fine with the seasonal campaigners like VV or Cech or even Lloris who has been so underrated last season just cos Spurs played so shite ... Plus we still need to give Ben & Sam some 1st team chances (cup games maybe) n see how they fare especially now that they've got loan experiences under their belt ... As for DDG it looks like he used us to pave his way to RM cos he couldn't go straight there cos of city rivalry ... He came to us got better under the guidance of the best British manager ever plus one of the best goalkeeping coaches around probably ... Aahhh how we miss SAF n his handling of situations like these ?

But, he has definitely not shown respect to United. And if it were Upto me, I'ld make sure he stays till the last minute of his contract, whether grumpily or not. At least it worked for Dortmund viz lewa and Southampton viz schneiderlin(forcing him to stay last year). This would send a signal that no matter how important you maybe, the club calls the shots. Make him stay, if it comes to that.

TBH I don't like the idea of looking at this as some kind of a major insult or something that requires some kind of "we'll show you" attitude on the part of the club.
I think SAF retired because he saw the writing on the wall, with the agents ready to shag Rooney's rejected granny's to make a nickle, the entire complexion of the game is changing, and now with FFP in there, it is gonna get crazier and crazier as every team with money is looking to buy a title and cash in on the huge Sponsor money and brand sales. An the agents have loyalty to no one, including players they represent who would be in the bin if they got hurt or their game went to hell.
Teams that piss around and play petty with a player because they think the club got disrespected might find it very difficult to sign "big names" who would not want the same treatment, and maybe some difficulty in getting their young stars to sign if they think they are gonna get bent over and cornholed if they get a great offer and want to take it.
Better to Thank Shaggy for a great season and his effort in getting the club to the CL again, and let him go on his way with class as befits the fooking greatest club in the world. \
Then, go to CL and have Ander, Juan, Memphis, and even Capt Hairplug blow them by old Shaggy and help him exit the fooking tourney like he exited Old Trafford

DDG can fuck off even if he stays...all of us been following football long enough to know that a player who deep down inside the pits of his soul wants to play for the club signs an improved contract all day long.
Seems like He just doesn't want to be here anymore.
Madrid can offer him everything we can and more in terms of location and his talentless cunt.....but the respect and admiration he earned in his time playing for united? He'll never see it again in his career NEVER .....
He'lll be gone from 'Super Dave' to 'that Spanish kid who was in goal for us when fergie retired'

There is hardly any loyalty in football any more. We havent got a divine right that every player who plays for us falls in love with the club and never leaves. Some join for the better money paid, some join to hopefully win silverware, ( virtually guaranteed up to fergie leaving), and obviously a mixture of the two. When another offer comes along if its better for them they will leave. The fact De Gea is leaving to go home, for his GF, to be with his family, or simply to play for Real Madrid, (and that is the ultimate team to play for in many footballers eyes), is no different than another footballer leaving a team for more money, or trophies. Put another way if your at work, and could go to another place doing the same job with better pay and/or conditions, or was a lot nearer where you lived, wouldnt you take it? The only stupidity with it is he hasnt got the balls to say outright he wants to go. This will he wont he all last season and now still the silence, has undermined the club negotiating a fair price. Hopefully something with Verane swap can be done

I'd keep him for a year and not even play him. I know he's a great keeper and blah blah, but fuck the fucker. Keep him and play him. The chances of a genuine title challenge are a lot more realistic if we had another season out of Dave like this one. How much would a title or a 2nd place finish/FA Cup/CL be worth to the club compared to a petty fee which wouldn't even cover the interest on our debt All of this and unleash Jones and Fellaini on him on the last training session of next season. I trust Jones to do the needful. Then, we go & ask RM "any takers?"

In fact is isn't actually the money as such...it is the way that it makes the club look...not signing a contract has weakened our negotiating position and we are getting publicly and royally fucked by RM...he has embarrassed this great club by his actions and that I cannot forgive...

Mildly amused at some of the nonsense I'm reading here with regards to De Gea. One would think he has done a Sterling or something . He has been respectful and professional . No nonsense in the media, kept his counsel the entire time. People have got to realize that Manchester is not the be all and end all for all footballers. So let's stop acting bitter and get a good fee for him and move on. We have a readymade replacement in Valdez. Cech is available, Lloris can be persuaded for the right fee. It is not doom and gloom. And the real prize is that we have Frans Hoek in our coaching staff . He is a visionary when it comes to goalkeeping coaches. I'm sure he has had a big influence on Dec Gea. De Gea's talent is beyond question. But there are replacements.
Let's wish him well and move on.

The guys on here who defended De Gea in his early days feel somewhat betrayed I believe. I am not one of them really but the fact is he learned his trade proper here and now swans off with us not making a shilling on him. I don't like the way our club is used as a stepping stone to Madrid. We are bigger than them. Yes I agree get the best fee but De Gea has lost kudos big time in my eyes.
Just to add when Ronnie left it was on his terms and our terms and Not fucking Madrids terms. De Gea's departure is entirely different and we have our pants down. Getting De Gea for 25 million is like us getting Benzema for 10 million. A double whammy bitch slap in the face for us.

People are pissed off because we won't get a decent fee for him because he's run down his contract. Unless you think getting half his market worth is great? Dear god, this is going to be a long summer.....
