I'm hoping it's the same captains role that we have seen lately, a non playing one. Hoping it's a temporary position as there isn't anyone else right now.
As I say I can handle it, if he doesn't start, but if he starts games then I'm done.

No issues with that per say, so long as it means he's not on the pitch.

I don't get this new fad thing of separate 'club' Captain and on pitch Captain. Just have the same guy FFS.

We should knock it on the head anyway. Stupid thing.

Robbo was club captain when winding down in his last few seasons with Steve Bruce captain on the pitch most weeks. Hence they both lifted our first PL title in 1993.

If Young is given the captaincy it means that however frighteningly little leadership we thought there is in this squad, it's actually even worse than that. One of the biggest issues we've had since LVG's cleanup was the lack of leadership in the squad post-Rio, Vidic and Evra. This must be addressed asap.
* I know that LVG didn't release Evra and Vidic, but they left during the first summer post-Moyes.

He decided to get a tattoo on his back as it was his 'summer tradition'. We really have a bunch of arseholes in our squad with their minds elsewhere after a shit-show of a season. They couldn't give a fuck. 'MANCHESTER UNITED fans are urging Ashley Young to get his priorities straight as he showed off his new tattoo. The right-back's inking over his shoulders includes the phrase: "Nothing or no one can hold you back when you realise". The Manchester United star was clearly happy with the results. But Old Trafford supporters pointed out that the veteran's crossing does in fact hold himself - and the team - back. One reply to the Instagram post said: "If only you spend as much time working on your crosses!!!" While another added: "Can you either go back to being a left winger or leave united". Young, 33, signed up until the end of next season when he agreed an extension in February. And his new deal was blasted by fans at the time'. C The Times i dont see a problem with that. seriously, we really dont need to make a pile of shit out of everything

I’m not going to get upset about a tattoo. We all know he’s done but that he’s probably one of those good eggs in the dressing room. However if he continues to start again next season I will have a problem with that, not him personally.

He may be wank on the pitch but perhaps he still has a lot of value off it?

He became the poster child of our decline but honestly I blame the managers and ownership for allowing it. Nearly 200 appearances for the club and 4 major trophies including one title and a Europa medal. I never questioned your heart just your crossing and the fact you were being used as a makeshift wing back. Also it was funny that time a bird shit in your mouth.
