Genuinely thrilling.
That's what we miss.

Mainly players who really want to play for the club and are actually given the chance.

That, and the core of United boys playing every week. We don't have 4 or 5 genuine, dyed-in-the-wool, through our ranks United lads in the first-picked, always-picked matchday XI anymore.
As much as Rio and Evra for example have become 'one of us', it isn't the same. They merely adopted the Red and White. We were born in it.

Van Persie on the scoresheet for Holland, amazing what happens when your midfielders manage to get the ball to your strikers eh.

Hat Trick for Van Persie it is then.

Don't feel think this warrants a new thread, but watching the African WC qualifiers Burkina Faso v Algeria - once again, Jonathan Pitroipa has impressed me. Played brilliantly and excellent in the African Cup of Nations, and today again doing a one-man show against Algeria.
Won a penalty by himself (which was wasted by a once again highly unimpressive Baunce - I remember how horrible he is) and scored the goal against Algeria.
Pitriopa looks really good. I think he'd be a good buy for any decent club.

The horrible timing of the African Cup of Nations was a major deterrent to buying African players when Fergie was in charge. And I think we should still steer clear of them.

Pitroipa's 27 going on 28. He'd be a very useful player for probably Everton, Southampton, Newcastle, Swansea or Spurs even. Snap him up along with Honda who's on a free and you get two very versatile and first-team midfielders.

Watching the Hoffenheim v Leverkusen game, what a crazy game.
A disallowed goal that should have stood, a goal for Leversuken that never should have.
Kiessling had a header that went wide, it bounced off the pole that supports the back of the net and bounced back through a hole in the net, Kiessling starts to jog back thinking a goal kick was given then the referee have the goal lol.
Through fair play Kiessling should have admitted it but in fair play to me, it's winning my bet so glad it stood.
Now Hoffenheim just had a peno, the keeper saves it, the rebound gets smashed against the post which hits the bar and back onto the post again, the it gets hit again and the keeper manages to punch it.
Mental game this.

Watching Strootman kill it for Roma depresses me. Sack our scouting staff ASAP please. Sack them and get someone who knows what they are doing. And please go all out for Daniele De Rossi this Jan. He is a BEAST. But wait, why would he want to leave a team top of the league playing the way they are, for us.....

Every year he has to do something amazing with the ball, god dammit we should have signed him when he was playing at Ajax, Zlatan (Golden) Ibrahimović (funny thing, he opted to play for Bosnia but our fuckers thought he wasn't good enough for us, motherfuckers).

Just watch this amazing goal from Miralem Pjanić.

He's a general for Roma already, a warrior. Gets stuck in, uses the ball well, everything we were (and still are) looking for. And despite his alleged lack of pace he seems to cover every blade of grass, unlike a certain, genuinely slow midfielder I could name...

Ibra is a beast - I can't help notice two other things though, 1) we dropped the ball on Moura as well 2) the other teams kit is fucking awful
