Should be the first part of what has been missing for a few years. Hopefully a couple more to follow. Might not have to put up with a few people bitching and moaning for much longer so. Just on Kagawa, i can't remember where i saw it or read it, but the way we operate with transfers we would have been watching the lad for at least a year previously (think that happened with Chicarito). Fergie will have all the information on him, performances, the lads attitude etc.

The way this is panning out i most certainly think we've a genuine interest in the lad regardless of alledged comments he's supposed to have made. He wants out at Dortmund, wants to play in England, so unless some of our rivals decide to steal him, you'd have to think he's coming to us.

i still wanna know more about these stone age tactics we apparantly play at United. Uh...would you suggest we play a progressive modern style of football? Are we on the cutting edge of tactical innovation or have we been shown up this season? We were outplayed by the might of Benfica, Basel, Ajax and Bilbao home and away without showing any evidence of a tactical shift the second time around. We showed up to City for all the marbles with Giggs and Park in the middle and hoped to sneak a draw. We either get it to Scholes who gets it to Valencia to hack into the middle or we bypass the midfield and just hoof it long right away because we're too worried about getting caught out at the back. The tactical regression that has taken place since Quiroz left is startling. |

I kinda agree with WK here. Kinda because I think it applies to our European endeavors. We've done OK for the premier league. Tactically our football has been pretty off this season. Out of ideas at times, failing to close shop at times, it's been apparent. There are also the occasional flashes of great team play but its been far too less by our earlier standards. And it is the loss of CQ that has led to the tactical stagnation in my eyes as well.
