doesn't need to IMO , we aren't talking about some rookie or unknown 16 yr old , We are talking about someone who stepped up and made German Fans realize that their club can go ahead even in the absence of Goetze - (who is touted for big things BTW) and carved a name fr himself.
If one isn't to be carried away by that-- don;t know then when.

Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic believes former team-mate Shinji Kagawa can become a key player for Manchester United Kagawa, 23, signed for United last month after two years at Dortmund, during which time he helped the club win two successive Bundesliga titles and the 2012 German Cup. And Subotic is convinced that the Japan playmaker will enjoy similar influence, and success, under Sir Alex Ferguson. "He can be a really special player for Manchester United," Subotic told ESPN. "He came to our league having mainly played in the second division in Japan, but still had an immediate impact. "He played such a big role in our success and he's still so young - he can definitely have a similar influence at United if he is given the chance. "Of course, it will be harder than here. But if he's given time then there's no doubt the team will see the quality he has." The arrival of Marco Reus at Dortmund has softened the blow of Kagawa's departure a little, but Subotic insists that even if Reus had not been brought in he would have been behind his former team-mate's decision to leave the club. "Even if Marco Reus hadn't come in to replace him, I wouldn't have been disappointed for Shinji to move on at all," Subotic said. "I am happy for him because he has taken the next step in his career and it's definitely one forward, not backward. I wish him well and I hope he gets quickly accustomed to the league so we can watch him play on TV." -------------------------------------------- Apart from all the praise, do you guys see what I see here?

Apart from all the praise, do you guys see what I see here? dude, u put it in bold, its hard to not see it. lol but seriously, i think your alluding to Subotic speaking not only of his respect for Kagawa, but subtly stating his respect for our beloved club. Kinda, a little 'when i'm ready to leave, that is the move i want to make' mood in that. that's what i read into it anyway.

New Manchester United signing Shinji Kagawa has arrived at Old Trafford with his girlfriend, who is an Asian Pornstar. 'It can be difficult moving to a new country, but I will do all I can to welcome them and I will treat Shinji like a brother' said Ryan Giggs.

Hate to bring this up again, but given what happened last year Giggsy would do well to refrain from using the word 'brother'. Especially with Kaggy's bird being as fit as she is!

Very good article on our new boy : manutd24.co.uk/2012/07/11/lets-talk-about-shinji-kagawa/?An excerpt: Kagawa’s move to United would soon be confirmed and his first act as a player was a bold and admirable one for those who value particular shirt numbers, rejecting the no.7 recently held by the likes of David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and Michael Owen: ”I want to make a name for myself on my own terms.” Modest, yes, but those who seem to know Kagawa best are certain there is an arrogance in the way he speaks, and the way he plays. He was once very critical of now-former strike partner Robert Lewandowski, claiming that the Polish forward’s “game is purely focused on trying to score himself, rather than playing together with his teammates … that’s why I hardly get the ball from him.” But Quazi Zulquar, writer for Bundesliga Fanatic, tells me that he believes there is nothing wrong with the Japanese player’s mentality. In fact, quite the contrary, in that it will instead help him thrive at United: “Kagawa is a motivated in the right ways, and his mentality has just the touch of arrogance you require to succeed at a big club,” Zulquar says. “He is not how you stereotypically identify Far Eastern players. He possesses that extra bit of flair and self belief that could be the defining factor from being a role player to an instrumental part of Manchester United for the forseeable future.” ----------------------------------------------- Sounds a bit like Ronaldo when he came over. Also the type of player Sir Alex relishes challenging. He challenged Ronaldo to step it up a few notches and look where he is now. Gentlemen, we could have a potential World ClassTM player on our hands!
