There are only 2 players in world football who can do what Nani is capable of week in and week out; L. Messi and C. Ronaldo. I can't think of another flair player who maintains such high standards throughout an entire season.

Personally, I'm on record as preferring Nani's silky skills over Valencia's directness. I'd take a player who has moments of 99% genius followed by 30% performances over a Valencia-type who is going to give you 60-65% each and every game. I'd refer you to the two goals he scored in the Community Shield or that chip from an impossible angle against Arsenal a few years ago and ask who else in our squad is capable of that? His two footedness, mobility, touch and creativity would fit in perfectly with a fluid pass and move style attack.

Nani has most certainly got more positives than negatives as far as i'm concerned.

The other side of those points you make is that the opposition have no idea what he's going to do next, which makes him a threat offensively, whichever way you look at it.

let me know when Nani is consistent enough to be in that bracket
