I like Johnson, but not as a top 4 player. Rumour linking him with Sunderland now, think that would be a great move for him. Back on his home turf, definite 1st teamer, fans would love him, and the right level of club to be at, lower mid table pushing for the next level (i.e. top 8). O'Neil has a good record of making average wingers look better than they are as well, and likes a big target man so Johnson would see a load of the ball for them.

Agreed that a good stable mid table team would be the place for Johnson to go. Maybe a few years ago he would have done a job for us but he's just wasted away at shitty unfortunately. Everton would be good, he'd be well valued, he's a work horse at times, & would give Jelavic good delivery, only problem being they are highly unlikely to be able to stump up the fee shitty will demand.

Todays gossip page is that PSG want Rooney for 150 million Euros!! In some Spanish paper. Here's the link to their page for this (though it's in Spanish, of course). www.sport.es/es/noticias/mercado-de-fichajes/rooney-bomba-del-psg-1850882The google translate for it reads: PSG, who during the past winter market negotiated the signings of Tevez and Pato (the latter was close to signing), intends to become the great facilitator of summer and the challenge of preparing a team of bells with the aspire to everything has been marked as primary objective the signing of Wayne Rooney, which would be willing to invest 150 million euros from the transfer to Manchester United and pay the salary for the player. While next season's Champions played as second place in the French league, Qatar Investment Authority, which since last March controls the total shares of the PSG, wants to turn the club into one of the largest on the continent and following the example of Manchester City is ready to make a payment if wild place you need to get among the aristocracy of continental football. Rooney would have become the obsession of PSG after the French club ruled out the dream of winning the signing of Leo Messi, whose incorporation was ruled out immediately when you see the Argentine footballer own environment than any multimillion deal would change his idea and that he intended to stay at Barca. From there, his eyes turned towards the English international, who two seasons ago and was about to leave Old Trafford with Manchester City target and whose transfer is considered feasible. The idea of the PSG, which had already made a first approach to the company that manages the affairs of Rooney, is through his move to convince other players first class to join the club project, which is none other than arguably become reference in the French football and expect to win the Champions League no later than three years. ---- I somehow don't see this one happening.

I'd take that deal in a second. Not that there's any truth in that whatsoever.

Yeah I'd take that deal as well. That would allow us to pay off some of the money we owe, and leave us 3 and a half shillings to go towards our transfer kitty for the summer.

- I'd still take Modric. Don't care if he's not absolutely perfect, he'd improve us massively and that's the most important thing.
- PSG rumour is one of the least credible ones I've heard in a while. Sure they don't mean Berbatov and 15m? lol
- Not heard of the Ukrainian lad.

Just on Johnson to Sunderland, uh hello? Smoggie? The Sunderland fans would not love him, they hate Bramble not for being shit, but for having played for Newcastle. A lot of them don't like that Cattermole is captain either.

Dembele wouldn't be my thinking, but I said the same about Young.
