Manchester United are to step up their chase for Everton left-back Leighton Baines. The 27-year-old, who has attracted interest from Italian side Napoli, is vauled at £20m by his club but United will try to negotiate a price closer to £15m.

If the price was about 10mill then maybe - just.
But at 15mill id feel like id just been robbed and gang-raped up the arse by a herd of rhinos whilst wearing a scouse jersey and Phil Thompson stood there and kept saying "calm down calm down"

Saw a few days ago that we will offer cash + one of the twins on loan for Baines, don't know whether that may still be the case. In all honesty I just wish the Baines rumours would just f*** off, I'd much rather bring in a younger LB than Baines to cover for Evra, spending £15 million on an aging LB would just be a complete waste.

I dont really fancy arguing the toss over a few mill here or there, we desperately need some cover at left-back, or even better a replacement. Not sure that Baines is the ideal candidate though, but LB picking arent all that much at the moment.

Don't know why were aren't in for Cissokho if we're willing to throw millions in double figures. The mail (I know!) had an article where it said he failed a medical at Milan. They said he had problems with his teeth which they feared could lead to spinal problems ...I actually have no idea how they could tell that  but it would be something to consider if he did have possible spinal problems. |

I'd have to disagree with you Beastie,Because if Cissokho was good lots of other clibs would be in for him,but as i've seen many have come and gone for him,I'd much prefer to have Baines who is English and proven in the English League.I wouldnt mind paying £15 million for him. |

Unless he's got teeth worse than Suarez then I'm sure his teeth are fine? Also i dont see how his teeth can damage his spine? maybe they're too long? |
