got a cartilege (top of ear) piercing a few weeks ago which i was well happy with but woke up today with a giant, sore, swolen deformed ear. just been back over the shop and they had to take it out sadly, took two of them working together to do it and it was v.sore and pretty painful. not infected but i did keep catching it and they reckon it's just been irritated. there was a bunch of hair caught in the back of it and blood and puss all over the show. dude said he'd put a bigger bar in it next time
anyone else?

I have both of my ears stretched to 15mm, I'm happy with the size so I don't think I'll be going any bigger, I don't want tumble-dryer door ears. I also used to have a small spike under my bottom lip but got a bit bored of that and thought it looked a bit teenagery so I took that out a couple of years ago.
Tattoo-wise I just have the one. It's a black, block-coloured skull next to an hourglass on the right side (my right) of my chest. I really wanted to get a half-sleeve designed based around ancient Greek art (the ornate black figures you see on pottery, not statutes and all that) but it's not something I can afford on my current salary. I'm hoping for my current job to be made permanent in the next couple of months and with that the expected pay rise so if that happens, the sleeve is a definite possibility.
As for your ear, that sounds like a nasty one. Lots of salt water compressing for that!

Just got a new tattoo a month back, lucha libre mask, it's been a bastard to heal and some of the ink hasn't taken because I've not looked after it properly. Fortuantely the girl who tattooed me is a good friend and happy to touch it up whenever.

Have quite a few tattoos for my age, got a half sleeve I had done when I was 19 because I went to Thailand when I was 18 for 5 weeks got drunk and ended up with my first pieces which are words in Chinese which I have no idea what they mean. Had them done with a bamboo dipped in ink, more painful than a normal gun! Had another whilst I was over there which says Jet in Thai which means seven for United and personal reasons. I got back and the bamboo tat was bleeding ink in my arm so just got a sleeve around it. Then got another piece starting on my shoulder that goes onto my back which needs finishing off. No piercings though!

sounds good mate. what's salt water compressing? a cloth soaked in salt water or something? Get a nice clean cup/glass and a clean cloth. Boil some water, pour it into the class and stir in about a teaspoon of salt (depends how big the cup/glass is). Let the water cool a bit so it doesn't burn and then soak the cloth in the water and hold it firmly on your piercing for about 5 minutes or so. Do this a few times a day and it'll really help clear up the infection and start the healing.

You two are so butch. Real manly men.
I have 1 tattoo that I got when I was 17. It's a tribal symbol with a skull inside. AS for piercings, I've had my eyebrow done and the top of my ear twice. The first time ended with me taking it out a couple of years ago. But I decided to get it again when I was in Barcelona last week.
Want more piercings now, and I've wanted more tattoos for ages. However, the one I have I just picked off the wall, so the next one I have is going to be more personal.

You can also look at piercings from the perspective that I had a big needle shoved through my face without any anesthetic. Through my ears too (any self-respecting piercer shouldn't use a piercing gun) and gradually tore the cartilage wider and wider to get larger piercings in, one time having a blowout and having to tear the piercings from my ears; lots of blood.
Then I had another needle pierce my skin thousands of times and put ink into it to create a pattern on my chest, which gave my rib-cage a battering in the process.
Pretty manly.
