Obviously. But weren't you born with 24 inch pythons? I'm thinking if I had significant growth there could be stretching. Basically, I've seen what a stretched tattoo looks like on a bird who has been pregnant and while I'll never have sized-down humans in my pectoral muscles, it was a pretty harrowing experience. Bit late but I'm sure they only stretch if there is no gap in it. Say if it's a full circle around the bicep. If there is a gap in it it won't stretch just from normal weight gain/loss. End up going through with it? I haven't gone for either, yet. Cannot afford it, literally. Dropped a ridiculous amount on a phone bill ('to Irish mobile' charges were unexpectedly obscene) and almost a grand on my car insurance because I crashed on the motorway earlier this year and lost my no claims. So cashflow ain't the smoothest right now. Not sure getting one or both of my tat ideas is genuine or just pie in the sky pipedreaming. You've all made me feel better about the stretching thing, so cheers boys. One more problem did occur to me though, about getting one on my left pectoral. I'm, uh, a little Tom Jonesian, shall we say, in the chest rug stakes. My new worry would be the tat looks like complete shite under all that hair once it grows back in. Even if it grew back in thinner (as I'd expect) than it is now, it'd still be pretty thick. Also, how painful is inner bicep? Realised what is the point of getting one on my shoulderblade if I'm going to have to take up yoga to look at it.

I found the inner bicep more tasty than the rest of my arm, hence she left it to the end to do it. Painful isn't the way I'd describe it though. Personally I find it irritating more than anything. Although it all depends on your pain threshold! Aus is right though it will grow back. If I'm honest I wish I could go back 15 years and start again as some of the ideas now are amazing. Chose wisely my friends.

Only reason I suspect it might come back thnner is because I have to have two patches shaved for an ECG a couple of years ago (bloody things wouldn't stay on my chest - it got a little hysterical after a while in a really ridiculous way) and the left side spot has always seemed patchier since then. Right side less so, but still a bit.

I've a piercing on my nose and I plan tattooing one of my ribs in the future. I'm still hanging on it as I only have a vague idea of what I want. Plus, that's a place that is painful to do it and I'm a coward

And half my back is done! I don't really find them painful, more irritating! Although the inside of my bicep was a bit tasty!

Have you ever did it on your ribs?

Well I say 2 one of them I can't really call one as its tiny lol. Plan to get it built on though in the near future. Might get a half sleeve and go from there.

Few of my mates have sleeves and they're all designed free hand but they all mean something and aren't random. I've got the welsh feathers but it needs redoing as the red has faded. Never again will I use red in a Tattoo. Although next one will be on the other arm. Just undecided what to have.

It's funny I'm actually going against the grain by not having one. Everyone has them.
