Amazing athlete Ennis is. Chernova is a freak in that jump though with 6.54. Fortunately shes a bit down in the overrall standing though so thats ok  |

Ennis has a lead going into the 800m, one of her best events. She has to be confident of a gold medal now.

Sharapova v S.Williams in Tennis finals. Maria is having had a really poor game - getting got utterly destroyed 6-0 and probably 6-1. Think Maria was even biting her lips almost close to tears! Poor lass.

Something like 6 consecutive world records they've set in the team pursuit? USA may dominate swimming, China gymnastics but we own the cycling. Shame there aren't more events in it though.
About Ennis from BBC - 'Here's the deal: If Ennis runs the 800m in about two minutes and 10 seconds her nearest challenger, Lithuania's Austra Skujyte, will need to clock close to one minute 57 seconds to win (her personal best is 2:15.92, set in Athens 2004). Ennis's personal best is 2:07.81 but if she completes two laps in 2:05.69 she could become the fourth woman in history to score 7,000 points.'
