Clearly he's not United material. Move along. Nothing to see here. This not the Croat that you're looking for.

hold on here.... now i understand the sentiment here, but honestly how many people hold Levy squeaky clean in this whole affair?
the only thing i hold Modric guilty off is being an idiot for signing his last contract when it was clear that there was serious interest from Chelsea and 'other big clubs' (his words, check his Wiki) coming in for him. no doubt Levy gave him assurances that signing on the dotted line would not hinder his future career goals, ie. he could sign for a big club in the near future (ah la Ronnie for us)
the problem here is that Levy reneged on his word, and Modric has made utterances to this effect in the past. First it was last season with Chelski, now its is with Real. it is good business for Levy, but poor on a personal level. this latest move by Modric, though wrong, strikes me as his his ultimate attempt to push the issue, knowing that he cant exactly trust Levy to stand by his word and let him leave for the bigger club that he craves.
as i said b4, this is mostly Modric's fault, but i think people should look squarely at Levy for why this situation has gotten so rotten so quickly.

So, he's refusing to train with the squad. Where's all the posts calling him a cunt? Yeah. He's as much of a cunt as Berbatov then. Let it go Tatty. Don't see why you have to hate him so much. It has nothing to do with us. And before this turns into full blown war because I mentioned Berbatov, go ahead and read what Spurs fans think of him - triffictottenham.co.uk/luka-you-silly-boy/?

This looks exactly like last year , RM replacing Chelsea, everything else is exactly the same. Then Arry said that Luka's head was not in the right place and left him out for first few matches and then he joined knowing that he wasn't joining Chelsea. This year AVB has said that LIka should me more grateful and come and train. Luka on his part has apologised and will soon be training with Spus and in the end all will be how it was. He may not go to RM this year , he may not gethis Big move at all , but the problem was he was dealing with a business man in levy and shouldn't have rushed into the long contract without some sort of clauses( i am not sure here so don't shoot me). But if there were such and Levy has backed out then the real cunt is Levy and modric has done the only thing left for him to do......again.

Many papers saying Real and Spurs have agreed on a price for Modric.
*drum roll*
A whopping 36 million quid. His actual value should be around 25-28 million. 36 is ridiculous. Levy is one tough s o b to make Real agree to this if true.

Not at 36 million red dub. That's just rubbish. I know now someone is going to mention the age-old "cry when we spend, cry when we don't" argument, but I for one am not for spending stupid sums of money for players who are clearly not worth that price. Modric is prime example. I do care if we don't spend money on players, but spending such retarded amounts is not something I condone. it would be just as stupid as Man City paying 170k a week for Emmanuel Adebayor.

Anyways he is not worth any amount 30 upwards so in that he ain't really worth it i suppose.

Redcase, you've mis-interpreted what i'm saying. For it to be suggested that Modric was never United material, just because he happens to be going elsewhere, isn't necessarily true because the guy is a quality player who if we could get in different circumstances, we'd probably draft in. Debating figures about him going elsewhere is a different issue.
