cole is probably better than evra now on the evidence of recent seasons (evra was better in his prime and the best iv ever seen) so if we were bringing cole in it would surely mean the door for evra who won't want to sit on the bench and nor should he.
but i don't see that replacing evra is a priority at all, bit of cover and healthy competition would be enough.
and yeah cole is a twat

this wont work on many reasons, IMHO. some mentioned b4 (age, attitude), Price (salary) and the potential disruption in the dressing room with the JT (racist, liar, looser) issue n Rio.

Ashley Cole has never been the best left-back in the world. Second-best a lot, yes, but never the best. Lol you do make me laugh at times. He's consistently been the best left back in the world for the last few years - his performances in the CL this year yet again outlined this. Lahm and Evra of a couple of years ago are the only real players that have gotten close to him. When they all play to the best of their ability there isn't much between them, says a lot though when you struggle to find a game when Ronaldo wasn't largely silenced by Cole. |

Evra at his peak was better than Cole.
Since Evra's decline set in then yeah Cole might well have been the best LB in the world.
The Barca LB Alba will establish himself as the best in the world over the coming seasons
