I rated him highly, and still do. I think he might be one of the best Japanese player in recent history, and possibly one of the best Asian player too.
Think he gives us a really creative, sharp edge in the centre. Quick, Quick-minded, Quick-feet, Quick-touches - everything about him is Quick, Intelligent and Neat. I like him a lot. I just hope... he doesn't lose his mojo over the next years of training with us, or his ability "coached out".
Sadly, I think he won't stay in United forever. I have a gut feeling he might move on in the future.
PS. I don't think he plays like Scholes. He's more... Quick (for the lack of a better word) and surges to the front more often than Scholes, who plays in a deeper role.

Where does the gut instinct come from? One of the main reasons he's here is he's a United fan. Were the team in Asia.
He doesn't remind me much of Scholes either, though I guess my memories are more full of later day Scholes than the early years now. Love his style though, always looking to do something quick and snappy. Whether its shift with the ball to open up angles or lay of a quick 1-2, he looks to do things quickly. A real injection of pace into our play and I don't mean running speed. He already looks good, but we'll see another level when the understanding comes. One of the thing obvious things from his you-tube highlights was a good understanding with Lewandowski.
When our defence sorts itself out, I expect to see Carrick return to CM and allow Cleverley to push on further. As he says himself, they are on the same wavelength.

i love kagawa. he's made an excellent start yet excitingly enough he's been relatively quiet by his standards. i think once he's settled in, sussed out the premier league and the team is hitting the higher gears he'll give silva and nasri a serious run for their money as the best of that type in the prem.
can you build a team around him? defo, he's one of those players who you can't get on the ball enough so yeah.
if i'm chico sitting in the stands not taking advantage of that killer pass then i'm tearing my hair out.

One of the reasons Dortmund let Kagawa leave without too much fuss was because his desire to play in England since he was a kid. Apparently the Premier League is THE league in Japan. I very much doubt there'll be any "I dream of Madrid" shite from the Ninja.

Kagawa has been a revelation after two games if you ask me.
Awesome.

Forget goal scoring, assist making and pass completion rates, I think Kagawa's best attribute is his ability to switch the angle of attack in a flash. Rafael's offside ''goal'' was a great example of that. The way he just switched the ball from his right to his left foot and laid it on a plate for Young was sublime. Three key ingredients in that - his ability to play equally well with both feet, speed of thought and vision. Very similar to a certain ginger maestro you'd argue. Loved his comments today. Hopefully he gets to grips with his Scottish soon enough. Would definitely love it if we build the team around him.

I can see him fitting nicely with Barcelona or Real Madrid. I feel that he's the type of person who likes to challenge himself and move towards higher goals. So personally, I just "feel" he might go when he thinks he has achieved everything he deems United as capable of achieving. Maybe 5 years down the road. I do genuinely hope he stays for the rest of his career of course!

Building the team around Kagawa may actually make us on par with Real or Barca in a couple of years if not better than them , so i wouldn't worry that he would leave us.
Besides why worry about something that may or may not happen when we can actually enjoy the Football Fantasy that is being played right before our eyes.
