He aint a winger and doesn't seem to fit in a midfield of two. I think when we brought him in from Dortmund he was refered to as an 'attacking midfielder'. Off the front man, etc...

His little run and shot yesterday was great. I just wish it'd flown in to the top corner.
The man's a little genius.

Yeah he's just the sort of gifted player English people don't appreciate or understand.

I'll say this again on the thread, love the lad. I just wish he starts every match alongside Rooney and RvP. Deadly trio.

Yeah he's just the sort of gifted player English people don't appreciate or understand. i think he can be our mata/silva type of player. would be nice to see him have a decent run of form between now and May, but i'm more expecting big things from him next season at dortmund it seemed like everything went through him. not sure if that will be the case at united though

Soon as he clicks into that position that makes him feel comfortable he will rip the place apart. He'll do it from 2moro onwards, players tend to up their game when I take them out of my dream team lol.

City regularly play with 2 deep lying mids and use Silva to great effect. Chelsea regularly play with at least 1 and use Oscar, Mata and Hazard well. None of these are strictly wingers. Dortmund played with 2 DMs and Kagz was a beast there... Doesn't seem to be massively complicated on paper.
Bottom line is whether or not we can limit Kagz' defensive responsibilities enough to allow him more time to do what he does well.

Yeah he's just the sort of gifted player English people don't appreciate or understand. True. Thought he had a blinder in the first game of the season at Everton, some start.

Starting to show his class again. Their aren't many players in the world who can keep posetion like him by wriggling & turning. Then he'll deliver a great pass aswell. Has he had a pass percentage below 80 yet?

mentioned it in another thread, some may not like the comparison, and others may think im going overboard, but that man plays like THE Paul Scholes IMHO. so simple in his passes, yet they are always on target, and never to the wrong player. Always available for the quick outlet when a player is in trouble. can finish, ghosts about the pitch........ the man is Magical! Ps. Carbon, man........ honestly! ummm.. I guess the playing styles are not exactly same No comparison. He can tackle!

@ag Hope SAF finds a way to play him in his best position. This guy is waaay too good to be wasted playing out wide. But am afraid unless we change our playing style to diamond that ain't gonna happen..

But am afraid unless we change our playing style to diamond that ain't gonna happen.. Rooney was class out wide against Fulham. Offered something different and troubled the defenders by drifting in. Would like to try him there again with Kagz in behind the front man. Maybe against Reading in the cup this would be worth considering: Jones ----- Carrick Young ----- Kagz ----- Rooney Chicha That this is almost a second team option with only two reg starters makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. i particularly like the fact that all 3 of the players behind the front man can play in any of the positions.

Aye, if we could get them three building up an understanding and becoming really fluid we would have on hell of an attack. Add RvP up top, and he too can play in those positions.
The trick would be to confuse the opposition with our movement, not ourselves though, so it's something that would take work.

We have seen time and time again that Rooney is rubbish out wide. Keep him up front with Robin, that is our best lineup.
He was brilliant in the first half against Fulham.
