Just the mere thought of Ronaldo being back in our team sheet is insane, it would be a miracle that's for sure.
I don't get why he would be 'sad' over his contract, he must be on a huge amount already surely!! Unless he's seeing players come in close to his wages he may think he deserves more.
I do think though that when we sold him we'd have put a clause in the deal either for first refusal on him or a buy back fee or something. Fergie would have made sure of that.

In 2010 Ronaldo told the News of the World "Of course I miss playing for Manchester United, I played there for six years and that's a long time.
"I am still interested in watching Manchester United and, you never know, maybe in the future I could return to play there. It's always possible.
"I am really happy and everyone knows this is my club but, of course, I miss Manchester United, the boss, the players, because I left family there."

I'm happy this stuff happened after the window closed, this could have been field day for the papers in transfer season.
Hopefully we've got an open door for him, would love to see him play for us again. Probably quite unlikely though. not his first strop at Real is it?

Gary Neville tweeted today that he thinks CR7 has never looked happy (in his opinion), at Madrid.
This may be far from fact, but I think he misses the family surroundings of Old Trafford. We adored him whereas at Madrid he is just another big name through a revolving door of many alike. The father figure in Ferguson, the fans who stood by him through everything good and bad - I think Ronny would like to come home at some point. He is a sentimental booby so I don't think it's a contract wrangle, I genuinely don't think he is happy there.

This is like a bloke that has gone out with a really hot bird and bumps into her at a club, where's she's had a bit of a tiff with her handsome, charming and very wealthy husband. When the husband goes to the toilet she says "we had some good times didn't we?" And then the bloke gets butterflies and thinks he's in with a chance.
And then she goes home with her husband.

That was painful but true reading lol I'm sure it'll be something to do with haggling for more money. It terrifies me the thought of him leaving and not coming to United. If he was worth £80 million back then, after 150 goals in 149 games what is he worth now? Highly doubt anyone will pay that for a footballer again (I hope).

We dont know the in's and outs of how he was sold, there may have been a clause in his contract that United could buy him back for 'x' amount and buy out clause for any other team would be double/treble that...
Would be great to get him back, but in all honesty, as good as he was for us, his antics in the summer of 2008 always took the shine of him.. that transfer tooing and froing really did take the shine of our CL win and the fucking fleet street massive revelled in it... Now the cockney knobs didnt have to write about United being the best team in England/Europe but instead they had there summer story, Ronaldo wanting to go to Real, as much as people slate Rooney at least that only lasted a number of weeks, including 06 you had nearly 3 years of Ronaldo flirting with Madrid

"I talked to Cristiano Ronaldo and he didn't say he wants to leave Real Madrid. But he did say he wants to end his career at Manchester United" - Florentino Perez
This is doing the rounds on Twatter.

I 100% disbelieve that this is true. Comes from Twatter. And didn't Ronnie said he wanted to go to MLS before he retires? But lovely if he wants to return.

Yes but what he meant by that was he wants to play in MLS when his competitive career is over.
You're right it's more than likely bullshit but thought I'd throw it in. New tax laws stipulate that footballers now pay 52% as opposed to the old 23% in Spain - new deal in a month.
