I'm not sure who. I just remember reading that certain individuals had reservations about Jose. Likewise, pretty certain it won't be Mourinho, Guardiola is the preferred option. Blanc is the other option.

I think Fergie would much rather have Jose take over rather than Pep.

The Glazers have been lining up Jose since they took over. He's the only man capable of taking this job. He's the only man mad enough to take this job after Fergie.

This could be true. Based on the "agreements" that Pep will take over City it'd mean that Jose will take to United.
Always felt that whoever of the two took after Fergie the other would surely end up at CIty.
But as far as Ronnie is concerned i'd say that'd be pretty Mad. The amount we are talking would have to be huge.
Remember this is Real we are talking about , with the elections around that Perez is contesting in and the amount they threw at us , it'd be hard to convince the crazy fans over there , unless he runs down the contract or only wants to come back to us.

Jose Mourinho has refused to elaborate on his Real Madrid future ahead of Tuesday's Champions League game with Ajax.
A report in Marca, a Spanish newspaper with traditionally strong links to the club, claims Mourinho and president Florentino Perez had agreed the former Chelsea manager would leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
"Neither I nor the president are going to say a word," said Mourinho. "My future is tomorrow, which is my 101st match in the Champions League."

im certain Fergie and Jose talk. Jose will have told Fergie he's up for it, Fergie will be relaying this back to the board, as well as recommending that he's their man.
This is a goer, but not sure it'll be at the end of this season though. Hope not. I think there's a decent chance of Giggsy hanging them up in the summer and i'm not ready to lose em both!

If it's going to happen, the timing needs to be perfect for all parties.
I agree, jim, this is" a goer".

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has spoken about Mourinho as a possible candidate to succeed him at Old Trafford.
"Friends are like this," Mourinho said. "Friends always speak well of each other.
"His succession isn't near. It should be in 10 years or so. He is getting better and better. He is stronger all the time. Why should he retire?"
Saying all the right things.....

if we want immediate results then jose is the man, he is the only person i can see that would soak up the weight of the club, revel in it and function at full pelt, players would perform and we would be picking up trophies come season end. for all we want to say about pep and top man he is, no team will have a combination of messi, iniesta, alves, xavi, puyol and eto (lets remember what he did). that amount of talent dont come cheap and pep walked into that situation, in todays market no one can afford that. not even psg would sanction that madness. jose will make the most of what he has and please belive he will get rid of dross! no sentiment there
