I would be chuffed with the special one. Only hope would be that he doesn't forget about the youth.

Like we haven't already?
José Martínez was on the bench for Real Madrid in the Madrid derby. He's 17. Can you imagine us having Mats Daehli on the bench for the weekend?
Mourinho didn't put faith in youth at Chelsea because Abramovich told him to go buy a team that could win yesterday. Same at Inter, they'd been left as a half-assed outfit not ready for the European Cup and he had to build a team quickly. With us, we have talented youth and young players already here. He wouldn't have to 'force' it, as it were. He gave Balotelli and Santon chances for thet Inter team too. I remember Santon as a young lad having to play opposite Ronaldo against us actually. Did alright too.

Jose having fun with the Berties, could be interesting if he comes here. He'd certainly have that fuck-you attitude and, if he stays for a prolonged spell and brings trophies, he'd be adored. He loves being loved and that might just be the thing at United, the fans are on a different level to what he experienced at Chelsea, which had given him his impression of "English Football".

Mourinho or maybe Klopp for me.
For everyone who dribbles a little sex wee at the thought of Guardiola - Tito Vilanova is showing that the manager at Barcelona isn't the most important figure. Guardiola hasn't been tested as a manager, he got given one of the best squads in football history.

Pep's real test is the next team he manages. And I don't want it to be us.

Klopp has shot to number one on my want-list. Plays superb, entertaining, football; knows how to organise a team to not concede without losing attacking excitement; has faith in local/youth players; his players love him.
If he wins the European cup with Dortmund or takes them close this season, we should definitely be asking Fergie if this guy has what it takes. Actually hope we draw Dortmund at some point, so the two can meet properly.

I'd have Klopp there on a par with Mou although I like the way Klopp likes to bring youth through....fir me though this is a huge job and mou is possibly the only one with the presence, charisma and cojones to take it on....if he does then he also needs to stay for a good long while and not slide off to PSG or somewhere after a couple of years....

The person succeeding Immediately after Fergie would be under hug almost impossible pressure to deliver , match and under constant Media eye. - There is only one ATM who almost loves/lusts for this.
I said it earlier also Pep took a sabbatical almost coinciding with them losing on the CL and in La Liga , while he can bring the sexy passing football ( Boring at times), we need to judge him after he has managed another club and how he goes about in the Transfers and Youth. Not sure if he should be the next.
Klopp for the time being not sure if he can handle the pressure, so effectively leaving only ONE.

That introduction to "Stoya" must have left me blind. I can't see anywhere in those quotes the bit about a conspiracy.

its taken a while, but it seems there is a consensus being arrived at.
i have gotta admit, i have wavered between the two (Mou and Pep) for the better part of 1-2 years now.
however i have gradually been turned off by the side-show that is the 'Decision' that needs to be made by Pep, and how it is looming over the largest Club names in the game. we are essentially choosing between two established greats of the game. but as has been pointed out many times before, only one of the two has been tested extensively under differing styles and cultures, and more importantly for us, the English way of football.
so to cut a long story short, it's Mou for me. i may not like his attitude and abrasiveness at times, i do think he's capable of some underhanded tricks also (remember the CL laundry basket fiasco), but i am sure that he has the ability to succeed SAF, for Pep, nobody knows.

I am more convinced than ever that Jose is either taking over for 2013-14 season or the season after that. He may take a year off and come back for 2014-15 season. Himself and fergie are making all the noises in preparation for his arrival.

I was looking at the documentary of him on ITV4, it seems more and more likely that he will be Fergies replacement. I didn't like the idea of him being fergies successor at the start but i'm starting to warm to the idea, one thing for sure he is a winner and he is probably the only manager in the world who could deal with the pressure of being the main man at united.

Cheers to anyone who can helps, I saw in the advert Fergie is in it.

Scratch that, it came onto ITV Player on Thursday, just got through watching it.
Exceptional. Now, I want Mourinho here. (Half-serious!)
