30 years ago Mark Robins saved Fergie. Thank Zeus for that... Imagine how things might have turned out otherwise...

It’s the true JFK moment of my United supporting lifetime the kick.
I can remember pretty much everything about it. Seeing it on the news at my dad’s, crying my eyes out when I realised I wouldn’t be able to watch him play for months, my dad having to explain the seagulls to me. To me it was an injustice because my dad never painted it in a way where Eric had done anything wrong. So in my eyes, the bloke deserved it.
My old man died a couple of years after that, and as I was only young I don’t have shit loads of vivid memories of him. As strange as it seems, seeing the Cantona incident and the aftermath unfold are some of my clearest recollections of spending time with him. So for me, I’m as chuffed that Eric booted the hooligan as he is himself.

That was a great game. That was also a great Utd team that was an injury away from another title and another Champions League appearance.

10 years ago: 4 years ago: Was at that final. The goonage for Rooney's winner was real.

10 years ago: 4 years ago: Valencia cross, Rooney header, Goal. That is that entire season for me. Such a pity that cunt van Bommel injured Rooney because I reckon our 2010 team could have won everything with Rooney fully fit. One of his genuine world class seasons. Was also at that final. We had some fun once.

I really miss Herrera's enthusiasm and love for the club... Well, sadly he made his choice - being a backup at a fake club in a crap league, rather than play regularly at an actual football club..

True. Ed taking forever to offer him a new contract and then (if rumours are correct) offering a LOWER wage than Waht he was already on probably didn’t help. Anyway, Fred’s better so it worked out in the end.

It may have been good to have him here, but as you said, I'm not complaining because Fred has been amazing and he may not have got the chance if Herrera was still here.
