Your all as bitter as ginger flavoured lemonade. If he played for united you'd offer your wifes to Messi.

With Remy and Messi up front, this years prison football team is looking good.

I don't get the need for hate either. Very unnecessary. Its not like he's Tevez or Suarez.

If messi played for United then he never would have HGH injections and then never would have played for United. BOOM. Mind blown

Its not down to hatred, its down to him hogging the spotlight when players around him dont get the credit they deserve and people with their cocks up his arse.
Best in the world - Along with Ronaldo? Absolutely.
Greatest ever? Not a hope.
The only reason Messi has gotten to the level he has is the likes of Iniesta and Xavi helping him get there. Without them or if he played for another team he wouldnt be as great as he is now.

And not to forget that in the era of FFP it keeps getting ignored that Barca are up their eyeballs in debt.
If the government and such didnt keep helping them, they would be fucked

Paul - You may be right about the Xavi and Iniesta thing, but we'll never know how he would have got on at other clubs would we? So, that assumption is moot.
On the greatest ever - I haven't watched football long enough to compare him to the Maradonas, Peles or Van Bastens, but I like watching him play. Probably very few people are qualified to make that comparison.
On him 'hogging the limelight' - that's down to the media though, isn't it? That's exactly the reason United get grief from other clubs (Liverpool) for being media darlings, so we're being hypocrites here. Besides, Xavi and Iniesta are given more than enough praise in my opinion, unlike Scholesy.
Finally, and this hasn't been touched on, but what I think is the main reason some United fans hate Messi - the rivalry with Ronaldo. I really don't get it. Why is it so hard to like both of them? Both great footballers. Media creates stories and we lap them up.

I've already stated my reasons for disliking this era of Barcelona, and Messi. None of it has to do with Ronaldo or United.

Hmm. That hypocrites sentence does sound a bit odd, but I'm sure you get my point.
I just feel its unbecoming to hate on a player who has nothing to do with our club. But to each their own. I've avoided this thread like the plague and should continue to do so. Just wish there was a way to block threads you don't want to see.

I don't hate him but I do dislike Barca and Messi slots into that aswell. Just because they make 5,000 tippy tappy passes in little triangles they think that is entertaining...It's not. Its fucking boring. The way they prance around like fairies and con the officials are more reasons for not liking them. We get ridiculed something stupid when it looks like the ref is on our side, when it happens to them the media and commentators fuck them up the arse.
However saying that I do admire Iniesta and Xavi, both get nowhere near the credit they deserve, instead its all given to the inch high pill popper. Without them he would be half the player he is.

Fair play Paul. No issue with people hating Barca's style of play, but that's a different issue altogether.
''Inch high pill popper'' is where the hate is. The HGH doping claims (which only exist on fan forums, a la 'FA loves United') are frankly baseless.

Are you saying Messi taking HGH is a conspiracy? 'Cause he really did do that, it's whether or not that was equivalent to performance=enhancement that our debates are about.

I made my case about HGH therapy before adulthood from a medical perspective about a year ago. That's why I feel there is really no need for a 'debate'.
