How are the people running the club not getting fired as well? They’ve royally fucked up yet again! For the second time in a row, they’ve given a manager a long term contract extension only to fire him less than 6 months later, they’ve failed to act on time to save the season and hire one of the top 5 managers in the world (who was available and was waiting for them to approach him).
Yes Ole was never, ever, in a million years good enough to truly succeed at the job, but this club is run by people who understand nothing about football, on top of the fact that football success is not even their top fucking priority.
I’m very pessimistic about the future of the club unless we change ownership.

Unfortunately, it seems like I was right. Classic United, Fletcher as interim coach does OK, we offer him the permanent role, and it all starts again.

Any ex player that joins this shitshow can absolutely get fucked. There is not a manager among the entire fucking flock of them. Fletcher, Carrick, whoever fucking else. Rather than being on the dole with these cunts they should try and do some actual work in the lower leagues. That's the only way I'd ever respect them.

I don't want any ex players in that seat. It defeats the object of replacing Ole. His biggest problem was his inexperience at this level, the same would happen with other ex players.
We need somebody with experience and the know how to improve us, not keep us floating at the same level as we are now. By all means put Fletcher in charge for a game or two until we find somebody but certainly not longer than that.

I would find some joy if we bring Roy Keane for a week or two to smack the shit out of some of our players.

sad day really. Ole was out of his depth from the minute he signed a full time contract.
he did well to change the course of the ship from Jose and that should have been it.
the sacking should have came after the liverpool game and saved him some dignity. it would have gave us chance to actually go out and recruit the correct candidate instead of fucking the next appointment too.
the last few weeks have been like watching the family pet slowly dying in pain and not having enough money to pay the Vet fees so you just keep hoping they die on their own.
do our owners not get it now ? its not just the manager they keep having to spend money on recruiting and sacking its the board they have making the decisions that are getting them into these crap positions

All I can feel right now is a massive sense of relief. The bar was set ridiculously low for Ole and he was backed far more heavily than any of his predecessors. All he had to do was finish in the top 4 and the lack of trophies was completely overlooked. And he'd have been allowed to spend more and more money to try and paper over all the cracks. So who knows how long he could have lasted?
Also the guy was incredibly lucky. Things turned south after he'd exhausted the new manager bounce effect but then Bruno arrived and sparked a recovery. Empty stadiums probably benefited Ole because he let our players go soft so they obviously find playing in front of expectant fans to be difficult. And of course last season Liverpool and Chelsea had problems and City were a bit toothless so didn't finish as far ahead of us as they could have done.
I suspect he also benefited from all the schooling Louis and Jose had done with their far more professional coaching set ups and the initial benefits of his regime were mostly from simply loosening the shackles but over time the lack of coaching began to take its toll and nowhere is that more evident than our shambles of a defense.
Anyway the good news is that there are still almost 6 months of the season left to play. We still have a chance of top 4, we should be able to qualify for the CL knockout stages, and we are still in the FA Cup. And the Glazers will be forced to give any incoming manager some money to spend in January which will hopefully go on a CDM and a CB. And I think we will also see players that Ole overlooked taking their chances under a new manager e.g. Donny, Dalot, Sancho etc.
But of course the bad news is that we didn't get Conte and we will probably end up with Rodgers who while far better than Ole isn't going to be the guy to get us back to winning ways. But he will probably get us back into the top 4 which is good enough for the Glazers.

If only they had acted after getting spanked by liverpool. Pathetic from every level.
Its like you are going for a family trip in your car , there are squeaky sounds coming from the wheels, oil leaking on the ground and instead of checking the bloody thing you still go ahead. And as expected in middle of nowhere the wheels come off engine shuts down and there is not a man in sight who can fix it.

One good thing to out of this whole clusterfuck is it should finally put an end to this united way, gets the club and DNA bollocks(even among the Top Reds).
Saying that there was a couple of posts on redcafe last night saying “give it to Keane and scholes until the end of the season(WHY)?
Do some people just never learn?

I wouldn't give it to any ex united player unless they've had the experience at the top level. Simply because I've hated seeing the abuse Oles had. However I would love to bring Keane into that dressing room. Put them all in their place.

So it seems that Darren Fletcher is to be interim manager and highly possible that first-team coach Michael Carrick could remain at Old Trafford to be part of the management team. WTF? Carrick is a huge part of the problem, we may as well have kept Ole in until a real replacement was found.
We have to let the new guy when we find one, bring his own team with him and get rid of everyone involved in this shitshow. It is fudging yet again. I really hope we get stuffed in the next 3 matches and then it will force the club to do the right thing, bring in some proven quality as a manager and BACK him as they backed Ole. This season is already a write off, we begin anew next season after another 3 wasted years.
