I absolutely love live music and have so many great gigs behind me, but I'm fucked if I will pay the prices nowadays. Ticketmaster has always been a vile company. The only band I'm aware of that went up against them was The Cure. Pearl Jam soon backpedaled and were charging £160 for the AO arena. Fans are getting screwed over. My mate went to Festwich at Heaton park over the weekend and was getting charged £6 a pint and £5 for a tray of chips. It's bloody tribute bands! |

Dynamic pricing model is the most egregious thing I have ever seen in the concert business. Absolute cunts. The only reason they get away with this shit is because of their pervasive model of infiltrating almost all major arenas in the world which would not grant audience to a band if they weren't in total agreement with TM. Late stage capitalism at its finest. |

Really disappointing news re Linkin Park. A god damn insult to Chester's memory. Looks like a massive own goal by the band. Apparently Chester's son has slammed it too. Not a band I was massively in to, but him, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder are a trio of unbelievable singers. |
