This is like dealing with Comp controlled bids in Footie Manager. They bid for one of my top young talents in a particular position, I turn them down. Their response is to bid for another of my top young talents in the exact same position. . .

The rumour always was we were always gonna go for Fabregas, but the Thiago thing was too good an opportunity to pass up, but pass up we did. Glazernomics!

Thiago would have had no resale value anyway. You how Barca work: Player goes somewhere else, is moulded into a top class player, they pay under the odds to 'bring him home'.
Anyone else think that Neymar could be a reason Fabregas might be available/unsettled enough for us to make a bid?

I don't know if I like the thought of both Fabregas and Van Persie playing for us.
And I don't think this will ever happen. I can't see Barca selling two of their central midfield players in a single transfer window.
If they sell Fabregas they're down to Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets and Song in midfield(Excluding Jonathan Dos Santos and Sergi Roberto).
Unless they sign a central midfielder first then I can't see this happening.
I wouldn't mind us buying Fabregas, but I wouldn't mind not buying him either. I'm completely ambivalent on this one.
