Fabregas is too emotionally attached to Barca and will not agree for the transfer. Even if he does, his first preference would be Arsenal. Your mate, is he?

Thanks. Haha..thanks for the gentle Bashing guys...my post deserved that. On a serious note, just cant understand why Rooney is criticized for having "Allegedly" asking for a transfer request. With due respect to Sir Alex, was it morally correct to announce about the transfer request publicly? There are people like Fabregas, Ronaldo and many more who had done similar things but rarely got a hostile reception from the fans. Moreover, their x-clubs are more than happy to have them back.

The major difference being Wazza did it twice, and strung the club up by its balls with his extortionate wages and then, on top of that, let his form drop.
And he's always been a bit of a wanker. Our wanker, but a wanker nonetheless.

I know what you mean but the circumstances are different with Rooney.
Ronaldo and Fabregas both wanted out to join their dream clubs. Neither made any secret of the fact that they wanted to play for Real and Barca. Rooney's dream club was Everton, if he was pushing for a move back there, I'd actually kinda respect that. He'd have achieved all he wanted in his career and now he wants to return his boyhood club, while still under 30, and help them push on into the top 4. Fair play. But he got out of there quick as he could, and now has decided he'd love to play for Chelsea? 2 years after City was his dream destination?
Despite everything he's achieved here he has twice wanted to leave, once to our hated inner city rivals. The first time he was rewarded with a contract like no United player has seen before, but he wants out again already? He questioned the ambition of this club, the club that had given him 4 titles and a champions league back then, and complained that we didn't compete for the best players, so we buy RVP and Kagawa. And because he's not as good as either of them, he's spitting the dummy again?
Just thinking that our record goalscorer would no longer be the ultimate legend in Sir Bobby, but an ungreatful horrible little fucker like him winds me right up, I want him gone to ensure that does not happen.

I forgave him straight away the last time, fool me once. The issue for me is he's got worse since that. Despite that huge contract he rufuses to even attempt to challenge RVP for that place. I believe he's good enough to take back his place if he commits to it but fat lot of chance there is of that happening. He looks to be going the way of Kaka which is just sad for someone so good.

Added to that the fact we paid almost 30 million to get him as a youngster, gave him everything he wanted, stuck with him through all the bad form spells and post world cup blow-outs and I'm glad this Scouser git isn't going to get close to Sir Bobby's record. It'd be a fallacy. I still think we should flex our muscles on this one. Fuck you Wayne, you're not leaving to a domestic rival. Don't like it? Unlucky, you've still got two years on your contract, now go polish RVPs boots and comb your bald patch.

Right. Agree that the idiot has completely mishandled the issue. Fans have right to feel aggrieved by this attitude. However, cant blame him if he has put in a transfer request. A striker if converted into an attacking mid-fielder or a Foil for some1 (read: RvP), will definitely find it difficult to adjust. Also, this would ruin his National team chances. Not a big fan of Roo, but playing devil's advocate here, v cant forget his work rate considering the innumerable times he has tracked back defensively. Can v associate this trait with the likes of Ronaldo, Nistelroy, Andy Cole? But better for the us, if he leaves now so that other transfer business is unaffected
