Fuck me. I just scanned the thread title 'Sir Alex Ferguson - Tribute Thread', clicked, and because I wasn't logged in, it went to the first page where the first comments I saw were 'I'm in shock', 'I don't know what to say'... My heart jumped into my mouth for a few seconds... Yeah I wouldn't mind if it's just changed to Sir Alex - Living Legend or Legend. Edit - Super quick change mods/admins, ta!

For the first time in my life as a United supporter , I am afraid of what comes next. Afraid of uncertainty. Afraid of SAF not being there to take us through it all. He always had this air of assurance that he would take care of everything. A gaping chasm is left now. Young me was right to be scared.

I really want Ole to watch 7:20 - 8:40. I don't even have to check to know what part you are referring to...

Went to the Fergie documentary last night, was nice to be back in a cinema. Thoroughly recommend a watch once it’s on Prime which I think is next week.
Only thing is it ends on 99, like all these docs do. It annoys me that the last 14 years of his career get ignored, especially given 08 was absolutely spectacular in it’s own right.

Still the only manager to win the Premier League and the Champions League in the same season.

Yep and he did it twice. Still the only manager to win the Premier League and the Champions League in the same season.

Yep and he did it twice. Still the only manager to win the Premier League and the Champions League in the same season. As much as we and Fergie all rightfully think he should have won the CL more, there’s something to be said for no one else managing to combine the two in all this time. The PL being more competitive and intense than most leagues definitely makes it harder to juggle a challenge in both tournaments, let alone the FA Cup as well, when comparing to other countries. Most of the time when Barca/Real/Bayern have done the combo, they’ve had the league sewn up before Valentines Day. Easier to prioritise Europe then. Fergie was very good at juggling the two for the most part, especially when compared to other managers in the PL.

Allow me, RAZ :
A statue of Sir Alex Ferguson has been commissioned by Aberdeen FC to commemorate his "outstanding contribution" to the club.
Sir Alex famously led the Dons to victory in the European Cup Winners' Cup when they beat Real Madrid 2‐1 in Gothenburg in 1983.
Sculptor Andy Edwards will produce the bronze statue, which will be located outside the Richard Donald Stand at Pittodrie.
Sir Alex said he was "thrilled".
Aberdeen FC said it would be the first of a series which is being planned to celebrate and honour the club's "heroes".
Chairman Dave Cormack said: "Sir Alex's contribution to the club was immense and it's fitting that we honour him in this way.
"His arrival at Pittodrie heralded the start of the most successful period in the club's history and put Aberdeen firmly on the football map of Europe".
Commenting on the plans for his sculpture, Sir Alex said: "I am thrilled and honoured by this recognition from Aberdeen Football Club, where I spent a fantastic and memorable part of my managerial career.
"I can't wait to see it."
The club hopes the statue will be unveiled later this year, and said all will be installed in such a way that it can be relocated to a new stadium in the future.

I think Delaney said it best for me- very good film but it probably would have worked better as Last Dance style doc. There’s so much there.
