We had a guy in our office yesterday who is Joel Wards brother (Palace right back) and he said that Zaha is a massive Arsenal fan and if they come in for him he'll be off to the Arse. NOT a bull shit story I might add. I `ve read that in the papers he is a gooner, doesnt mean he will go to them though and reports are that Arsenal have cooled interest with Walcot close to signing a new deal.If he did chose us over Arsenal he would just be another mercenary, what kind of person turns down their team for a rival? Not one I would want at United.

Someone who actually fancies winning trophies in his career?
Say, a magic Dutchman, for example?

We'll see, I kind of think the same that if Walcott signs a new deal Zaha won't be going there but if Walcott was going to sign a new deal I truly think he would have done by now in all honesty.
I'd love to see us buy another English potential but at the moment it seems unlikely. I hope I'm wrong though.

Why wouldn't Arsenal buy Zaha even if Theo signs? If he's converting to CF, they'll need another wide player won't they?

Ole was a huge scouse fan as well apparently. I used to like Ole you know. To be honest he wont go to Arsenal, Whinger wont make a bid for him, heard hes ran out of Haribo and hes not an over rated 16 yr old so Whinger wont go for it.

big difference between someone outside of liverpool supporting a team that was winning the pots in the 80's [especially when that someone goes on to be a pro and forms a bond with someone else] and your typical scumbag scouser

I know players support other teams and play for rivals but if both teams were in for him at the same time and he chose not to sign for his idols I`d say thats poor form.

His "You cut me up I'll bleed Red" quote... surely he doesn't mean... Just joking, I know his full quote is "I'm always going to be a Man United supporter, you cut me up I'll bleed Red". Still love him. I'd like to think that 'Poo was his first love - with a girl whom he thought was really pretty, perhaps like the cheerleader bimbo prom queen out of every chick flick. But after going through years of education and work, he realises that the nerdy girl in the class he has shunned in the past has matured into a really, really hot lady with the brains and personality to match, and they became extremely compatible. While the prom queen never grew up, robbed banks and never gave him enough to continue that desire beyond just looks which faded drastically over time.

As Jim said, supporting the vermin in the 80s as a kid is perfectly understandable. And they have always been very popular in Scandinavia. Look at Jamie Carragher in any case. Huge Evertonian as a kid.

i read that palace have ignored our attempt to sign him but the chairman Parish will be meeting with levy for fee talks and possibly leaving him at palace for the remainder of the season on loan....
im not quite sure if thats true but in all fairness.... we dont need him.... pay over the odds for someone who has been labeled "the next ""insert legend here""" this is not an area we need to strengthen .... our wings are fine as they are and someone who is decent at championship level isnt going to improve the soon to be 20th champions of england
