Check this video our from the U-21 game against Blackburn ... OK it is only U-21 but... ....he's no Ronaldo but boy, he reminds me of him sometimes... he gets the ball and the defenders are already backing off, on the back foot...when was the last time we saw that consistently? he may be a little raw but so was Ronnie when he came...yes, Wilf is a couple of years older but even so,.... whatever happens, he doesn't give up, he keeps trying and he keeps showing for the ball...defenders hate that 'cos he won't be intimidated.. he gets the ball and you start to shift towards the edge of your seat....unpredictable but exciting at the same time.. he scored a goal and that will have done his confidence a world of good... I say, get him in the first team now, as a sub and bring him on later in games...can you imagine being a tired defender and seeing him stripping off? Again, we did this with Ronnie early on and that didn't turn out too bad... Finally, rather him than Young - all day long...I would have anyone from the squad for Young - all day long.

This is becoming a bit of an ongoing joke now with Zaha. The boy is clearly raring to go and we're STILL not playing him. He HAS to be better than our current options for fucks sake. I'm prepared to give Moyes time, as long as he's prepared to give the whole squad a go and he hasn't fucking done that. I hear people saying "he still doesn't know what his best team is" well he wouldn't if he's leaving certain players out here and there.
It's a joke and to be quite honest I'm getting sick of it.

i think the problem clearly is not him having shagged DM's daughter but rather his unwillingness to do so.
He should be a sport if he wants to be in the sport (at united).
DM is just being a god father to his daughter who i suppose fancies Zaha.
I really can't think of any other reason to us persisiting with Young, Nani, heck we deploy Welbeck on the wings but we won't do so a proper winger WTF !!!

Hello fellow posters... Have been following this forum for a short while and finally taken the plunge to comment! Long behold my first post is regarding Zaha.
Its a bit of a mystery and enigma in what's happening with him. I think we can all agree that we weren't expecting him to set the premier league alight and there was going to be a bedding in process with him.
Think of everyone is entitled to their opinion on players but what nobody could deny is that a couple of years ago this guy tore down one of the best RB in the league (in Rafael) and was quite feared in the Championship. We bought potential and my belief is that the previous group of coaching staff would have worked on Zaha to bring that out.
Look at what Moyes and his current staff are doing with the team? Do you think even with an ageing squad that we are playing to our potential? Yes we all know we need investment in the squad but one thing that most can agree on is that Ferguson and his backroom staff knew how to get the best out of players.
Too me what good coaching equates to (not just Moyes but his backroom staff) is knowing how to get the best of out players and learning how to adapt to the ever evolving game in techniques, training methods, sports psychology and good player management. We may not have had world beaters in this squad but we HAD that with our backroom staff.
Look at DDG two years ago. He was is the SAME bracket as Zaha. Great goal keeper with the potential to become WORLD CLASS. It was a baptism of fire for him and at some point many of us thought it was £18m wasted. One season of good coaching work (a RUN OF GAMES - very important) and he improved. 2nd Season he became a VERY GOOD goal keeper and we won the league. He WILL be Spain #1 at the next Euro's and World Cup for sure.
Just imagine if the roles where reversed and Zaha came two years ago and DDG was bought last January and first met up with the squad in Summer 2013 with the new backroom staff and coaches? We would definitely see an under performing DDG.
I ask you guys another thing. Giggs is a player-coach so what I ask is what is he doing to bring the best out of him? Just because you are a legendary player doesn't make you a decent coach (same for Phill Neville - however not in same bracket in playing ability as Giggs). We now have backroom staff who between them do not have the coaching credentials to getting the best of our senior players. Look at RVP who is now constantly injured under the new regime - coincidence?
How can you expect to get the best of out Zaha if Moyes and the backroom staff can get any potential out a league winning squad? We have regressed during his regime and it wont be very long till we start hearing more coming out of the camp from the senior players.
Not to dwell on this for too much as it looks like even our fans have turned on Zaha even though he hasn't be given the fair crack of the whip to impress. Valencia, Nani and Young have been given too many opportunities to show what they can do. Even Kagawa who is being played in wrong position hasn't done himself any justice on the wing. Dont even get me onto Cleverly and even Felliani has been given opportunities even though he is poor on the field.
Moyes has run of out options on the wing and is over-reliant on Januzaj. Januzaj has been good but not GREAT. He has just done extremely well enough to make the mentioned above wingers look ordinary.
Seems to me their is something going on personally being the scenes. 5 clubs (3 premier league & 2 european) have enquired about taking him on loan but now Moyes is digging his heals? Even with our current injuries in the wide areas (Young, Nani) he still wont give him ANY game time.
Definitely alot more to this then what we can't really see.

Hard to disagree with what you say about Zaha...he could offer us that spark of creativity and unpredictability, surely a lot better than what we currently have... A couple of things though...Januzaj is class and will be a world beater in the not too distant future...maybe not as a left winger but I reckon he could play anywhere across an attacking midfield... I really do not want any of the players - senior or otherwise - coming out with any comments whatsoever on Moyes...the last thing we need is a disharmony in the team / squad - things are bad enough already... Other than that welcome aboard...

Hey Ratbag appreciate the feedback on Januzaj. I think he will end up becoming an attacking midfielder playing behind the striker.
I think everyone can see that he seems to make the right passes in the final 3rd. His movement also is what makes him exceptionally good, especially off the ball. In games that I have watched it leads to either a shot on target or someone delivering a final ball into the box.
The type of game Zaha plays does rely on unpredictability which in another angle may not suit how we play now (by Moyes standard). However I dont buy into this nonsense about him loosing the ball in dangerous attacking areas (as feedback has been suggested). Some people do need to take off their rose-tinted glasses (I wear specs too) as we see this pretty much every week with the senior players!
Its a shame as I think the previous regime (coaching staff) could have brought out the best of him. I am interested to see what happens this transfer window. If he isnt loaned out (which all of us can agree is properly the best thing for this development now) then I would like Moyes to come out and say why and actually outline a plan for how to integrate him into the squad.

Ask Solskjaer if he wants Zaha on loan, see how he does in the PL, and prove Moyes [absurdly wrong] otherwise.

Play the poor boy
He must be smashing his head against the wall
If he stayed at palace he would of been in the team week in week out! He was there ronaldo!
He shown enough promise in preseason to at least get a chance like Januzaj or go on loan like lingard
Moyes has ruined him!

I just wish Zaha was started from the start of the season, given a really good run of games, get his fitness levels high, settled into a new team (which is what we are to him) so I get a understanding of what he brings to the team. Right now we know fuck all, except pre-season, yet the guy has been great in reserves for us. I can understand sending him out on loan if there were players in front of him that were amazing with quality and a cant do with out them, but where are they! So why does Moyes not use him..... That would be my question to Moyes given the chance to come face to face and I believe I would shoot him down with my answers back, because I cant see an excuse not to try him out on a decent run. Even if Moyes whispered in my ear, he was in bed with my daughter, I would win that one by saying, ok ill take over doing that and you play Zaha. The things I do to support this club of ours

Whether it involves Lauren or not, it does look personnel. When I have watched him play for the under 21 his attitude looked first class and he played very well.
When you consider the absolute dross served up on our wings so far this season it looks very strange having a player of his potential, an International, who was a match winning superstar for Palace, who impressed on tour, a player who cost us £15m, is rotting in our reserves.

I may be alone in my opinion but I don't get what all the fuss is about.
Whenever I've seen him play he's not put in stellar performances, his crosses aren't up to scratch yet and his decision making isn't where it needs to be. Hence him not making the team.
That being said, I have faith that he'll improve immensely and become a success at United. A loan, however, seems the best option at present as he's stagnating without game-time. It's his first season with us so I don't understand the hype surrounding a 21-year old not making the first team in a season where we're having enough troubles in other areas.
