Excellent, always love buying the young talented players with potential. Sometimes more exciting than the established pro's. Good to hear from Fergie that he rates the Crewe academy so that always a good sign.
I reckon he'll stay here, if he's fancied a bit as a striker he could get some game time.

Supoirb. Welcome to the club young man. If the lad gets any game time at all it will be very exciting.

According to the mail... "It is understood that Blackburn are interested in allowing Powell experience in the Championship next season on a short-term deal but Ferguson is likely to reject that offer and put him on a fast-track into his first-team plans."

I just have to ask again... he is a... midfielder right? More of a forward/support striker from what I've seen.

He may be involved in our first team plans? That's interesting.

I just have to ask again... he is a... midfielder right? He's listed as midfielder/striker on United's website, either they aren't sure or he can actually comfortably play both. I think I'd prefer him in midfield though his long range shooting would be wasted otherwise ...plus we could finally have a midfielder who grabs us goals from outside the box!

I think he'll be used as a forward and may actually get games there. Lewandowski won't be signing now I guarantee it.

Powell supposedly started CM at Crewe last season before moving to a more advanced role as they were short up top. Can see him evolving into more of a CAM, read that if he was going to be likened to any sort of player it'd be Gerrard.
