Hmm not liking this new layout one bit. Anyone else finding it a bit weird?
Hopefully warm to it, quite a few positives mind I've noticed, you can like various comments and the shortcut tool bar at the top is now visible and not red. So not all bad.

Yeah, the new like button and actions are positives - but am finding the new layout a bit weird and taking time to warm up to it.
Also, the "New Posts" on top's also gone. I used to just click it instead of going into individual sub-boards to look at new posts, which was quite useful. Guessing the layout is still "under-construction"? The cover picture on the top of the forum could do with some colour or picture.
Appreciate the new layout though - always nice to see change sometimes.

Not a fan. All the posts seem to be mixed up with each other. I like the new default display pic though. No generic Vida pics. Paul looks like an alien  Also, the "New Posts" on top's also gone. I dont like the lack of properly visible borders. Its especially noticeable on quotes in posts, makes it clunky to look at.

I quite like it, some change is good. But I do find no borders a ittle anoying too...

Get some borders on pronto, get back the new posts button and maybe it'll be better. But yeah so far not liking this too much.

Okay, so the forum upgrade (it's a ProBoards thing, not an 'our choice' thing) has happened. It's quite, bracing, I know. I've found it easier to switch the Forum theme to "Default" for the time being. It has borders and is much, much cleaner and I'm finding easier to navigate. To Change the Theme:Profile --> Edit Profile --> Settings --> Forum Theme is the 4th option. On the 'Newest Posts' issue, I feel your pain, but as has been said, republikofmanc.proboards.com/threads/recent, is your Bookmarks saviour. The way I do it is Login on the main page, then click that bookmark and have that as my usual 'RoM' bookmark after that. The issues about borders/proper RoM banners etc. has been raised with the Staff, we'll see what can be done about it and keep you all posted. In the meantime, hopefully you can bear with us during the changeover and continue happily posting! |

Bestie, tried changing the forum theme to 'default' and the forum colour changed to blue! Felt like i was on a City forum so changed it back!
On the newest posts, i'm clicking the 'new participated' logo top right, seems to be doing the job.
It is a strange layout but we'll get used to it i suppose! Couple of positives is that the avatars, signatures and text seem to be a lot more clearer.

Anybody else notice their 'location' is missing underneath the avatar? Just curious.

I think the 'Location' has gone with the old forum.
Seeing as we're in a period of change anyway (as SET mentioned, how fitting) does anyone have any suggestions or specific requests about how the re-vamped Forum looks? I think first priority will be getting a "Newest Posts" button/link back, didn't realise I wasn't the only one who lived on that button!
There have been other things in the past, like different backgrounds, shout-box etc. Obviously, the Mods/Admins will have to go over things and see if they're viable/worth doing. It's also up to the Big dog at the end of the day, it's his Forum after all.
