Saw someone mention Mike Bassett on the other thread. If you like Ricky Tomlinson, have a look at Ricky and Ralf's Very Northern Road Trip. It's worth it for the soundtrack alone.

Watching World war 2 in colour and Hitlers circle of evil (or whatever it’s called ) on Netflix .
My son’s a big history fan before you ask. We’re working our way through the list.

Anyone else watched The Righteous Gemstones?
Finsihed the 1st season the other day, I really enjoyed it. Good cast, and some good laughs in it.
Danny McBride plays pretty much the same character in every movie/show he's in, but he's good at it.

3 episodes into Avenue 5. It's pretty good so far. Armando Iannucci is usually good value.

Into the Night on Netflix.
Surprisingly addictive! If you actually put the time in to really review what's going on in each episode then it's a bit of a mad mess, but they keep the suspense up and stick to short 30 minutes episodes, so easy to want to keep watching. Smashed through it in 2 days.

Still got it on video . Why do they never show films like that on the box ? It would be perfect for the Sci fi channel. ☹️☹️

Just finished the complete, series of The World At War, last seen when I was a teenager, and, as the programmes were made in the early 70’s a lot of the main protagonists from all sides were still alive at the time, including Hitler’s Secretary, Speer, Dönitz, Eden, Arthur Harris, etc etc, so to hear first hand testimonies was facilitating. Pitch perfect narration from Sir Lawrence Olivier too. Highly recommended and (mostly) available via YouTube.

Space Force is a mess, which is very disappointing given the people involved.

He loves history and is very good at it. I pointed him towards that show for additional insight into Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain and he was transfixed. And he got an A in his exam.

3 episodes into Succession, loving it so far. Another show that I've gotten into 2 years too late. Typical.

Did anyone bother watching The Witcher? Really have a mixed feeling towards it that changes episode to episode. Largely good but not completely invested. Cant quite put my finger on it.

Got about halfway through the first season and I'm feeling the same, I'm enjoying it but haven't rushed to finish the season yet. Think a lot of people are comparing it to game of thrones aswell which wont help. Finding it hard to get into anything atm so perhaps that plays some part in it.

A couple more episodes into it now and I’m starting to fully enjoy it. Just 2 left.
