Couple of new series released this weekend if you’re stuck. The Wheel Of Time, on Prime. Hell-bound on Netflix. Both look watchable.

I thought that the three episodes I watched yesterday were pretty good, I don’t think it gets near GoT though tbh, although the filming locations certainly do!

The Wheel of Time has GoT potential if they do it justice. I thought that the three episodes I watched yesterday were pretty good, I don’t think it gets near GoT though tbh, although the filming locations certainly do! I didn't know they were actually available yet. I'm going to watch them tonight. The book series is perfect for a big budget TV series, but the inevitable comparisons to GoT could hold it back. I just hope they do right by the source material.

This week's episode of Succession was an absolute stormer. So funny and depressing at the same time.
The show just goes from strength to strength. Convinced it will be one of the greatest shows ever by the time it's finished.

Having a newborn is brilliant for your telly watching. Got through that whole Beatles doc on Disney over the last few days during the wee small hours.
It’s absolutely superb and a must watch for any Beatles fans, or anyone who has ever been in a band. It’s the most accurate portrayal ever of what being in a band is really like.
I always thought during recording sessions and rehearsals with every band I had ever been in that it must’ve been different for the likes of the Beatles. I thought it must’ve been machine-like. Professional and efficient. But from watching Get Back, it really wasn’t. It was exactly the same as every practice room or studio I’d ever been in, except their songs were better. They bicker, drink tea, fart around on each other’s instruments, nobody gives a shit when someone else has written a new song, everyone wants more of a say except the drummer who couldn’t care less. Very relatable.

Yeah, I don't think it's going to be the next GoT... It's fine, but just not in the same league. Not nearly as gripping.

Couple of things I’ve watched lately, The Last Mountain- On BBC IPlayer both absolutely stunning and tragic. Epstein-Filthy Rich on Netflix and a similar series on Sky-Both extremely harrowing, but highly recommended nonetheless.

Re Squid Game - That was a bullshit ending to an otherwise great show.

Unrelated note, started watching The Last Man On Earth last week, S1 done. It's a pretty good show if anyone not seen it. God the main character is beyond annoying though, so much so that I was close to checking out, but I googled about it and reviews say it's a big character arc for him and to keep watching as he gets a lot better. Last Man on Earth is brilliant. Just a warning that they cancelled it after season 4. So you don't get a satisfying ending. Proper silly, funny sitcom though, with a really good concept. Think Will Forte is great in it. Just finished it now. Yeah, bit of a bummer that it got cancelled so the ending sucked. Enjoyed it, but I don't know why they had to make Phil and Carol as annoying as they were, Carol especially. And whilst I know a bigger part may have been planned for season 5 that we never got to see, what was the point of Jasper? Seemed to be introduced as an afterthought, never spoke, never contributed, played zero role at all to the plot and then fucked off.

Is anyone going to watch SPOTY in UK tonight? It used to be an absolute,must-watch ,the week before Christmas, but I must confess to not having watched it for yonks. See Tyson Fury is going to “Sue” the BeeB for daring to nominate him!
