The Witcher isn’t very good, is it? The show would be completely unwatchable if it wasn’t for Cavill.
Most of the writing and casting makes it feel like a naff 90s fantasy show.

Been on a Viking binge lately.
Rewatched The Last Kingdom before watching the movie that concluded the story. Superb series but that movie was appalling. So sad to see it get that kind of send off.
Uhtred was a great and likeable character but I’m also rewatching Vikings and I’m still convinced there have been few better TV show characters than Travis Fimmel’s Ragnar. Just sensational.

First ‘Dopesick’ on Hulu,now watching ‘Painkiller ‘ on Netflix ,both about the creation of OxyContin by Richard Sackler‘s (unspeakable) Purdue Pharma and essential viewing if you’re interested in the continuing story of opioid abuse in America which has killed 100’s of thousands and counting! Highly recommended. Halfway through painkiller now, the sacklers really are the devil. |

Highly recommended. Halfway through painkiller now, the sacklers really are the devil. Painkiller is good, but every time I see Matthew Broderick I still just think Ferris Bueller. I’m far too old. |

Just been watching For All Mankind on Apple TV+ 5 episodes in,crikey,without giving anything away, it’s an absolutely brilliant alternative take on the ‘Space Race’ beautifully written and perfectly reflective of the time.
Highly recommended!
