Funny how we're getting linked to the creme de la creme of talent this Summer. Almost makes you think we're leaking the fact we have some spare cash knocking about, and getting a certain team in white worried we won't give it to them... Are Derby giving us a hard time over Will Hughes? Or do you mean Leeds with Byram? |

He's a good player, and the sort of striker I love (he loves headers) but he isn't worth £ 50 million and isn't what we need. But to replace Rooney, and for a generous reduction of that fee, I wouldn't say no flat. But it's not happening, and as others have said, did we suddenly realise we have loads of money the Glazers would rather invest than pocket? I think not. 6 posts in and this sums it all up perfectly. If we're basing a player's valuation on their international form at major tournaments our Shrek-look-alike is worth about £1.50 which still makes Cavani a better player worth more money. |

Am i the only one who is not up for a Cavani arrival? I am not too eager either, though I believe its an attempt to hurry market activity.If we are replacing Rooney, I think it will be Lewandowski arriving. |

Absolutely. i have watched him play, and like Wazza he can be a streaky player. but, ironically so, he is also quite effective when deployed on the wings (should the situation arise) as he has shown with his national side in accommodating Suarez and Forlan who tend to play down the middle. it's a strange link, and i don't believe it for a second (i think there is a higher chance of us signing CR7 than him, for example, and even that is a slim chance), but should it prove true i for one will not be complaining. |

Im not doubting he has some skills, otherwise big clubs wouldn't be after him...just not a big fan of him despite i haven't see him play, or maybe a few times....i have to admit that even if im italian living in italy i don't really follow Serie A, so i barely know if he is so good as people say. |
