And if any club tries to get the absolute maximum for players (other than spurs) it's Bilbao, given the lack of options they have in finding replacements. See Bayern and Javi Martinez. If we really do want this guy and his clause is 36m then 36m is what we'll have to pay.

We seem yo be stuff gluing somewhat with the definition of 'release clause' this summer don't we? I read that as "we seem to be glue sniffing somewhat with the definition of 'release clause'". Which, if true, could explain so much.

Don't we have a play-maker already? Isn't his name KAGAWA?

Think this guy is more of a traditional centre mid, plays a bit deeper than Kags.

I have seen this guy play 5 times. Honestly, I wasn't looking out for him particularly but he didn't jump out at me massively.
What I did notice, was all good. You know when you're watching a game and just sort of mutter to yourself,
'He's a decent wee player', but then immediately go back to concentrating on the overall game?
Like that.

I think we'll get him. Not enough time for this thread to reach 100 pages!

Strange one, looking at his transfermarkt page and generally checking opinions I reckon the current market has driven up his value.
36 million Euros? That would make him the most expensive incoming player of the window, no?
Who cares though, a MIDFIELDER.
Not going to pretend I know anything about this guy, anyone care for a brief description, anyone really kept an eye on him?
Playing style? Two footed? Distribution? Close control? Physically?
He's just turned 24, not getting into the Spanish national side isn't an issue as they're so stocked atm.
Let's all try to avoid this thread and try not to jinx it.

Tom Coast @sardinetrawler 5m
Ander Herrera (12/13):
Pass completion: 80.9% Tackles/game: 4 (6th best in league) 1.3 key passes per games (more than Thiago)
He also completed 1.5 dribbles per game last season. Cristano Ronaldo completed 1.7.
