The Glazers PR guy has really been earning his money these last few months.

50m? Well that's a step up from "unlimited" isn't it. Talking out of their fucking arses yet again. If we only sign Fellaini with an unlimited transfer kitty then by god I'm sure we'll sign the fucking world with our 50m budget. Bellends. Pardon the Glazers for their poor Maths, for them: "Unlimited" ~ £ 30 m.. ohh hang on, then how much does £ 50 m mean?? peanuts??

United have obviously briefed the journos as the stories are coming from respected people, not some random shite sites. Anyone got a Times subscription and care to share the following please; www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/manchesterunited/article3883605.ece

After the summer just gone, I refuse to believe any 'war chest' or 'player' rumors until we've ever spent the money or signed players

Seems to be ranging between £50m and £100m. Quite a lot of papers reporting this so it's obvious the United press department has been briefing the media behind closed doors, whilst avoiding any official statements. I'll believe it when I see it quite frankly, after the fucking embarrassment of Summer 2013, I have absolutely no faith in the club to attract the best talent.

Who cares how much the value is.
Chances are it's going to be complete bullshit anyway. The only reason this has come out now is to take some of the heat off the bellends in the suits simply to "settle" the fans and give them hope.
As Carb said, until we actually sign these players and not just "enquire" about them I don't beleive a fucking word these wankers say.

I don't think the media or PR people are the best people to believe. I do think Moyes will be able to strengthen in one way or another this Jan or over the Summer. The gimps are greedy, but not stupid enough to ignore that for any business to be successful, you require investments from time to time.

Also by saying what we've got, we might as well have said "Hey, Clubs, We've got cash, RAISE PRICES!!!!"

Having watched their running of Tamps Bay this tends to happen every couple of years when fan disillusionment is at its height. They do nothing in the free agent market for ages then pull a mega deal out of the bag. Different situation with Utd obviously but now Fergie is gone it's worth keeping an eye on.

I tell you what. After watching Barkley last night it is going to take a kings ransom to get him out of there. I am watching football 30 years and am struggling to think of a better central midfield player at 19 years old. Would love him to come to us.

If this isn't just a flash in the pan for Barkley then he is worth any price Everton can quote us in my view, and United should pay it. The kid looks a phenomenal talent right now, it's just a case of seeing whether he can turn that into consistency.

In those same stories, Baines and Herrera have been mentioned as the targets, so my question is, are they the two players that will save us? Is this what our mighty war chest is going to be spent on? Serious questions not random sarcastic comments by the way.....

Herrera is a very good player that is only going to get better. He'll be expensive but ticks all the boxes.
