ESPN were pretty much in agreement that we are desperate and over paying for a big club reject. Couldn't believe it. ESPN are pretty much a band of players and pundits who have no connection with United whatsoever, effectively ABU's . They know Mata is a class act but will never admit it. Par for the course. All the ABU's are annoyed with this one, but I'm getting a lot of pleasure going through the tweets of Chelsea fans, they are absolutely livid!

Can't. Pics or it isn't happening. Speaking of happening, Carbs? Is there an extra special .gif saved for such an occasion? And everyone say goodbye to Chill Phil if pictures are released of Mata with our shirt. Also I might reward the Glazers by purchasing a shirt and getting Mata on the back. I'll get it in the Megastore and give them the feedback that I am only buying one because of the signing. Call it positive reinforcement.

Greg Stobart @gstobart 9m The new medical centre at Carrington means United can conduct their medicals on site rather than at Bridgewater Hospital #MUFC
Takes hours. He'll arrive in the next hour or so and have medical through the afternoon.

Might as well put it out there - if this deal was to go thru ( yea, still skeptical) can we not have any doofus coming on in here and saying that with us smashing club record and buying Mata Ed an/or The Glazers aren't bad or are the next best thing to happen since sliced bread please. I remember a few after RvP - not sure if it was WUM'ing or genuine and really this is not the season no matter the signing for such silly comments. There is no official news on this from United is there. DM didn't answer on these either - is he sad that we got to conclude this faster without 72 scouting reports or what .

Yup after mata a midfield destroyer is needed. Reality is with mata, adnan and Rooney behind rvp there is creativity we need a destroyer that can pass, sits deep but is mobile and to be fair I fully believe fletcher and fellaini can rotate playing the role of box to box Problem is, Fletcher is 30 in a week and Carrick turns 33 in April. We need one world class midfielder asap, and another shortly after.

Oh I agree, a lot of concern from opposing fans that Mata is actually coming in for real.

I honestly am yet to see one genuine report or article that suggests that Mata could be more than effective for us. Its either been "too much for a Bench warmer" or "won't fit in" or "expensive panic buy" . Don;t think there has been a bigger example of how the Media is nothing but a a bunch of ABU's. I agree it isn't a value Deal like ANDY CARROLL or TORRESS. also funny how 37 million is suddenly spending a lot what we don't have but 100 or 200 million is what renties and city council have and its ok to spend it - it ain't buying the league - ATM don;t care if this happening or not , true or not - one Transfer, fucking one transfer gets them all ruffled like its EOW. quality viewing value i'd say

If we were to sign Vidal it'd cost us about 50 million. To be honest, and this might just be me, but Pogba could be a better option given his age. In saying that I have no doubt that he'll become one of those players whored around the oligarchs, playing for PSG, then City, perhaps Real etc etc. E.g Mario and Zlatan - supremely talented, but flock to the money when it's dangled in front of them (& their agent).
If the gimps are willing to pay that, whilst spending on a left back and a central defender of real class, there will be a deathly silence across the world, from ABUs to those of a United persuasion, as there will be nothing to complain about anymore.
NOTE: This isn't a statement defending the Glazers, God, I'm aware they've sucked the life out of the club, I'm merely stating my apprehensive approach to the players linked to United and how unlikely it is they'll spend that much.
Vidal, Mata, Coentrao & a central defender and we're up there. The chief editor of Goal. com (whatevs, I know) maintains we have a truckload of cash to spend between now and the summer - around 150 million...

Its such a weird feeling, I feel completely and utterly low about the team at the moment, the pathetic performance last night - but this is fucking major news - but I cant help thinking that Mata might be reduced to the level of the rest of the team.
The only way I can see this working is we play 4-2-3-1 - mata, kagawa and adnan behind RVP. Fellaini and Carrick behind them.
We should all be rejoicing to the heavens but I feel worried.
