According to twatter, Rooney close to signing deal for £300000 a week. The board is going to go nuts if true. How are your mammaries pal.

That £300k a week can be very useful in signing a better player better players and a better squad generally.
Isn't even world class or setting games alight to dignify a salary of £300k. Do you guys think we would have done better these past few weeks with him? I sincerely doubt so. We might have struggled past Sunderland, but that's about it. His ego is blocking up possible transfers, players and youth who actually want to play for us. He's 28 and doesn't even bloody wants to be here - we shouldn't be building a team around him, Moyes.
Plus, I have a strong inkling that he definitely won't be up to this earlier season's standard after the WC.

I think with him fit we would have beat Sunderland. As I said earlier from what I hear rvp or Hernandez more likely to leave than Rooney. Personal feelings aside Rooney the 'player' on the form before injury is an asset

The only reason would be his attitude and him asking to leave twice has left a bitter taste in the mouths of supporters. When I look at the dross we have like cleverley on 60k then why wouldn't Rooney get 300k. The club made a rod for their own backs if we bought players the caliber of mata in center mid then mr Rooney would be earning less as he would not feel so special

Personal feelings aside Rooney the 'player' on the form before injury is an asset Aye, as I mentioned, we would have beaten Sunderland, but we would still have struggled - as we have done so against plenty of other teams even when Rooney was fit. He's no Ronaldo, he's no Gerrard, he's no Drogba - he's not a player that can turn the tide for a club even when everyone else is putting in poor - mediocre performances. He himself puts in 70% mediocre performances, especially when it's not a WC season. So on that instance, does he deserve that £300k a week? Fuck no. We should be hauling his arse out the door ASAP, and begin rebuilding. Even if we discount RvP, we have Kagawa, Mata, Januzaj, Chicharito (and Welbeck, but not totally convinced) up front - not forgetting our youth e.g. Powell, Lingard, Pereira, Zaha, Barmby, Cole, etc - all of whom can operate in and around behind the / striker position. Or how about just playing players win their right positions and not rewarding players who don't put in performances. People have been calling for Kagawa to be played behind the striker for eons now, and do Valencia and Young merit a start when they can't cross? Or does Moyes really think Smalling is a right-back? These things could have helped us win games in the long, stable turn - not stroking Rooney left, right and center. Plus, it's a known fact that Rooney requires extra work on training sessions to keep him fit. How motivated will he be at a club he doesn't want to stay, after the WC? I wouldn't bet my money on him being motivated nor his money whoring agent not looking for the next money hike. This season we will be struggling for top 5; this is the perfect time to make rights from wrongs. I prefer looking long term. Rooney should never be in those plans - not by a mile. Not a 28 year old whose heart is set on leaving and grabbing as much money as he can, without real justification. Is he an asset? Yes, if he gives a damn. "Lucky" for us, this year is a WC year. Long term, we should be dragging him away from our pitch. I hear Madrid wants him for £25m. Try and make an exchange for Khedira, Modric, di Maria or Xabi Alonso. Will be extremely happy when he leaves.

Yep, Stew's right move on till next week. Maybe the German press might refer to Moyes at the match tomorrow. Meanwhile Reefer mate, off out with my much younger hotty missus! I think I know who might score tonight.....chuckles... Question is where are you going to place it? Top middle, bottom middle or a rear flick A sliding shot from the flank after a goal mouth scramble........LOL. Info.. MG were not too hot against Bayern Herrmann impressed with a couple of shots but came off after 75 minutes apart from that Bayern not troubled. No comments yet about Moyes being over here or who he was looking at..

It's a diamond but both Mata and januzaj can play out wide and drift inside. This is as formidable as it gets.
------Fletcher------ -Januzaj------Mata-- -------Kagawa------- -Rooney--Van Persie-

Marca are suggesting Mata is being sold because of Financial Fair Play legislation??? Yes. De Bruyn and Mata. So foreign players down from 19 to 17. Reports suggest they are targeting Barkley to make the process a complete success

Someone just suggested to me that Mata will come on as a sub on Tuesday. Tell me he is wrong. It's a possibility. To be honest i think Mata will start on Tuesday as he needs games that's for sure, also don't forget Rooney and RVP are still out. On the other hand, imagine we don't play him on Tuesday and then we have RvP, Rooney and Mata all coming back to play against Stoke. Goosebumps already !!

According to twatter, Rooney close to signing deal for £300000 a week. The board is going to go nuts if true. Well I wanted him gone but I'm taking this as a signal of intent from the club. Yes. Also, IMO it doesnt necessarily mean that he is going to stay for long. It could also mean a higher sale price when he is eventually sold.
