Not sure if it's been said but I think Coleman would suit us perfectly. People love rafa and I quite like him myself but he's far to unpredictable and clumsy.

I would take Rafa all day long, he has far far to much credit to be shipped out for the odd mistake IMO... I have nothing against Coleman but its not a position I consider needs attention...

He has the potential agreed but he needs to keep concentration more. Look at that two footer he should have got sent for that would put a spanner in the works. It's not th first time he's lost his head either. He was superb last year but he hasn't been the same this year

There is little or no appreciable difference between Rafa and Coleman. Certainly not enough to justify the 15 or so mill it would take to get him from Everton.

Well, except that Rafa's a better player of course. No idea why so many people are fawning over Coleman all of a sudden. Yeah, he's a good player having a great season but come on.

I've saved my judgement on Fellaini until he gets a proper run in the team and settles in. He's the obvious replacement for Carrick by the looks of things as we will no doubt go after a solid BTB player in the summer. Vidal is my choice. Also think Reus is our other number one target. Januzaj as much as I love him should be given a rest at this period. He's played so much so far and i'd hate for him to burn out to soon this season.
Any news on this apparent £22.5m bid for Shaw? Was hoping there was some weight behind it.

The Chelsea thing and Shaw might be overplayed. Ramsey was a Utd fan, Wenger promised him regular footie.

The Chelsea thing and Shaw might be overplayed. Ramsey was a Utd fan, Wenger promised him regular footie. And wasn't Zaha an Arsenal fan? He chose United because of the softness of our dugout seats though. Not sure if been mentioned yet, but apparently Zaha and Fabio having their medicals at Cardiff now. Good to see Zaha get some game time, sad to see Fabio go though (his is a permanent move). From starting the Champions League final at 21 years old, to signing for Cardiff.

Part of me hopes Fabio going is because someone is coming in.. but he never gets a game anyway.
Same goes for Zaha... but we just don't know what he trains like etc..

In a three, with the likes of Dembele and Hazard or Witsel making up the trio. Fellaini does the dirty graft in midfield, then feeds it off to one of the really creative players. The two in around him makes such a difference, he looks so much less off the pace and immobile. Agree with some of this, and again it proves we need a strong, mobile box2box mid to bring out the best in Fellaini, (as well as everyone else), 'cos we already have the likes of Kagz and Mata for the creativity. But if we did get the dream signing of Vidal or a fully fit Gundogan, does this mean Fellaini would be a guaranteed starter? Personally I don't think he would. I'd rather have Carrick screen the back 4 in the quarterbacking role, or Jones for his combative nature, or Fletch for extra mobility. As it stands he wouldn't even make the bench if we got the type of player we're all hoping for. Don't want to be the pessimist considering we've just nabbed one of the best players I've seen in recent years, but to me Fellaini's looking more and more like a complete waste of money.

The Guardian running the Cabaye rumor as well.
He's a decent enough player, but like others have pointed out, he's just not that good.
He's 28, so almost no sell on value, and what you see now is what you're gonna get. He's not likely to suddenly improve any further at this age.
He is better than what we have, but so are numerous players. Many of which are younger and better than Cabaye, so why settle for him?
He'd improve us from a "Poor" midfield, to a "Decent" midfield. We don't need a decent midfield, we need a top class one. Lets spend 10 million extra and pick up a real top class midfielder, aged under 25, who can really move us up a couple of levels.
Cababe would be a stop gap Ashley Young style signing.

He would probably be better than he is at Newcastle considering the attacking talent he would have in front of him. Tough call.

I agree Cabaye is a stop gap, but the money PSG had turned down.. we shouldnt bid more than that. Im sorry i just don't want him near the club.
If he is a short term fix, id rather moyes take a gamble on.. Powell/Tunniclife than a sulky throw dummys out ass!
